there's no doubt that mcknight is more the typical football player build. but trindon can definitely hold his own against mcknight when it comes to game-breaking plays.
If you look at performance, McKnight had more game breaking plays last year. I don't know what else to base it on.

Oh puhleeze, LSU has by far the best backfield in the nation. Just because we dont have hyped up backs doesnt mean they're not as good as any in the nation. Give me one team that has 4 backs averaging 6+ yards per attempt. Not to mention all our backs have the ability to take a run all the way home.
Keiland Williams will prove to be one of the best backs in the nation next season, and with a big dose of Scott and Murphy and some Holliday, we will be unstoppable, just like last year. And for whoever mentioned Tennessee as a better backfield, stats dont lie. 231 rushing yards vs 86 (w/o Dorsey and with RJF playing his 1st game in more than a year).

It's about time this is a debatable topic
Regardless...LSU, Clemson and USC are probably at the top. If you look at only 2 backs, I say Spillar/Davis is the most dangerous.
LSU doesn't give their best back enough carries IMO.
Also...Holliday is not a RB...I don't give a shite what you say

what is he?

Clemson, EASY (they have proven studs, we just think we do)
USC, maybe
OSU, because of Beanie
UGA, because of Knowshon
OKLA, definately better for now, but that may change if our guys step up.

He's a 5'5 160 sprinter that is a KO Return specialist, playing in the slot that occasionally runs the football around the end - a la "end around"
I don't know what that adds up to, but I don't call it a RB...I call a RB Bo, HW and DMAC...IMO

Clemson has a very nice 1 2 punch. all the other schools yes if you just look at the top back. But after that they drop off drastically except maybe USC; and especially OU and UGA.

if your top back is that good, then why not stop there? there is nothing wrong with having a primary back who can put a team on his back

agreed.
but would you rather have K. Moreno by himself or KW, CS, TH, and RM? i personally would rather have the depth

well TH is a scat-back gimmick player who lines up more at WR than he does at RB
KW/CS/RM are all good, but moreno kind of combines a lot of their best attributes. RMs quickness, KWs speed, and CSs running ability. i mean i'd take LSU's backs over UGAs backs, but it's pretty close (esp when you consider king)

umm... what?

its definitely close.
i dont think we flat out hav the best backfield n the nation.
but we r definitely in the top 5. probably the best if you look at overall depth

King needs to play a season first. I've seen him play and he looks small on the field. Talented, but I want to see him play with thte big boys before I put him on the level of our backs.

USC's are better. At most LSU is 2nd best of the two team's backfields.

USC, maybe

i'm really not following your reasoning.
