There are two for me.

1. Hire a QB coach

I still don't have confidence with the current staff that they can develop and get any of our QBs to reach their full potential. We need someone on staff whose sole job is to focus on getting the most out of a position that has plagued LSU for years.

2. Hire a Special Teams Coach and Coordinator

Special teams were terrible this year. We barely did anything right in this phase of the game. In order to take the next step in 2018, we will need to drastically improve in this area. Who the hell is coaching the kickers and pointing out what they are doing wrong when they miss their kicks? Kickers need coaching too! Coach O's strategy of plug in play the next guy is flawed and he can't keep expecting success when there's little to no teaching going on.

Seems like they got as much as they could out of Etling.

I really don’t see how Alleva still has a job. I don’t know one single person who likes him or thinks he’s done a good job. What do we have to do to get rid of this clown??

Special teams were terrible this year.

Not arguing, but pointing out the irony that the SEC Highlight of the Year - D.J. Chark's miraculous 75-yard punt return vs. Auburn - was by the LSU Special Team.

Kickers are head cases. They might look great in practice and terrible in games.

As has been the case since 2007, it will always be about QB play. We have been good enough to win multiple natty's everyone else but QB play has crushed our soul.

agreed.

S&C needs improvement. Not overhaul, but tweaking. Not sure exactly what specifically needs the most attention (have my theories and beliefs however). We need to go into Labor Day every year being the dominant physical presence. Not seeing that for a couple years.

Want to mention knowing assignments and leverage better, both sides of ball. But I don't think that's a systematic problem. So leaving that one alone.

Kicking. No need to explain.

Red Zone offense. You're not going to run your normal offense in the RZ and score with high frequency. RZ offense needs to be treated "special", a game within a game. That means special packages, plays, and reads. Every offensive player needs to be well versed on the plays. Substitutions need to be smooth and quick so that HUNH can be run if needed. Do NOT think physical toughness and mentality is the problem. S&C improvements will help, but is not the root cause of our RZ issues.
