Many LSU fans wanted Bobby Petrino during LSUs last head coaching search...in time, this will fade. In time, alot of the admin at LSU will change. It's impossible to say for sure but I don't think this will prevent his chances here at LSU down the road. It just depends how far down the road we're talking about.
I could just as easily make an argument that if Paul M is at LSU 8 more years this may help the case for him to end up at LSU.

As noted in another thread, AC did not just burn his bridges at LSU, he blew them up. Lots of damage done & he's just blown an opportunity of a lifetime at a relatively young age. As my dad always said, once a greenie always a greenie.

So who do we want as our next baseball coach? Say Mainieri is here for 5-6 more years and wins 1 more title. Do we go after Canny or because of what just happened do we go after Blake Dean, Matt Riser, Justin Hill, Will Davis, Bianco? Someone from a power 5 school that has done a good job?
