3 runs off errors
Taking out a hot pitcher after 1 inning in a 1 run game on opening weekend.
Weak hitting against a bottom of the barrel mountain west team
Can't wait for Maneri apologists to downvote me, and let me know how not playing to win will help us later in the season.... especially when we probably get punched out in a regional/super regional with nation leading talent

They are the worst posters on this board. Most arrogant, jackass group of people I’ve seen. Hypocrisy at its finest with them.

It’s the same crew that would never fire Les.

I have two choices.

1. Get frustrated and angry at Mainieri and his coaching style and recruiting.

2. Or accept, Mainieri is who he is and will never change. He is a one hit wonder.

Pitching...Yes.

I’ve just resigned myself to accept LSU will never have a great hitting team under Maneiri.

I have no idea why you're being down voted for a fact. I can't imagine anyone actually believes this guy can win another title

On that note, our Saturday rotation could not overcome air force

They play to win within a certain plan.

They planned on playing two SS. They planned the pitching. It’s up to the players to perform. The ones that take advantage of their opportunities play when it counts. The others do not.

If you follow LSU baseball you know that’s the way it’s been for a long time. There’s no reason you should be surprised, disappointed or upset. It’s nothing new.

that’s a weird way to spell “3 errors leading to enough unearned runs to change outcome of game”

Super fair point.... so let me ask the following 2 questions:

1. Why was Helman in today after yesterday? Why was he in after the first error, or the second?

2. Pitching could have overcome if not for pulling a hot hand after 1 inning w a 1 run lead...so why did that happen?

Answer: Paul drew up a game plan and good bad or ugly he was going to stick to it. He will NOT change if the game plan gets away from him. He will sacrifice a W to maintain his plan 100% of the time
