Well I'd say that L pretty much does it.

If we win out the rest, plus maybe get two wins in the SEC tourney, is there anyway we make the big dance?
What would need to happen to kinda just scrape in, other than win the tourney..?
I'm super meh about the NIT. Is there any shot at the bigs?

Yep- that was a pretty bad loss against a bad team.

As far as RPI is concerned, a loss against UGA on the road is just as valuable as a win against them at home.

Time for some self reflection to myself - we cant rebound and there is no way we could make any kind of run in the sec tourny, much less march madness

Not 100%, but the margin of error is gone. They have to win the next two to even warrant consideration and make the SEC tournament interesting

Win the SEC Tournament is the only hope for the NCAA's.
Playing now for a home game in the NIT.

No one should have any complaints about how LSU did this year. The team did better than expected this year. Some fans bought into the hype, and had unreasonable expectations. LSU had a solid basketball season.

You might be but you shouldn't. Even the NIT is a huge accomplishment for this team plus they will get valuable tourney style experience.

Win out and 3 wins in the tourney, nothing less. I just don't understand this team. They came out flat as junkyard car tire. No movement on offense, no aggressiveness on defense, no hustle on the boards, WTF!!!! Why can't these guys play hard every game? I just don't understand it. It's like Wade said, there's no true leaders on this team. No one to step up and take the team by the horns and lead them to victory. It's to the point you just don't know which team will show up, the one that beat Mizzou, or the one that lost today.

Anytime that you don't make it to the tournament, it is a disappointment...but this team has already overachieved this year, IMO. We look to be trending upwards and I am good with that. Just sit back now and enjoy the games that remain.

Wow! Did you finally decide to stop being a troll and get behind the team, including the coaching staff?
As for others on here, the tournament was an unrealistic expectation to have this year. Just to be in conversation has been awesome. While there is still outside chance, and I hope the team continues playing hard to reach for it, this year will still be successful without put it. At the end of last year and hiring of Wade, every realistic and knowledgeable basketball person was saying: Year 1 - put a good product on the floor; Year 2 - build on previous Year and reach NIT; then by Year 3 - NCAA should be the expectation. Wade has by far and away accelerated this timeline and we should all be thankful for it.

I've said all along 9-9 with two wins in the tourney still gives us a chance....depending on who we beat in the SEC tournament in that scenario.
A road loss at Georgia probably doesn't hurt as much at this point as wins on the road at South Carolina, a win to end the season against a trending State team (if they win against Tenn) and a couple of wins in the tourney will help.
But the 9 minute flame out at the end of the first half and beginning of the second half today certainly gives me much pause we can do that. It was FUGLY.
Reath has given us nothing since he hurt his foot. Before his injury he was almost automatic 8-feet and in but has missed everything since and his hands are even worse than they were before his injury.

Yes, it was bad, but I expected it. We had already lost to this team at home.

No, Georgia is not a bad team. They are very talented, but not well coached.

Meh, I think the truth lies somewhere in between. I do not think Georgia is a very talented team, I've watched them play many times this year. Maten is very good but outside of him they are a good defensive team that is very offensively challenged.
And I don't think they are poorly coached. I think Fox is decent...not great but solid.

Good thing you aren't the coach anymore Johnny.

I have said for the last month if we hit 20 we make it-and I stand by that.

I still think if 20 is where we hit one of the two SEC tourney wins will have to be a Quadrant 1 win, but yes if that happens I do believe it's a legit shot.
