We lose and people go on and on about Hellmers, a wild card at third and George a back line pitcher blowing a save. People go nuts about coaching decisions as if it was the deciding game in the CWS.

No one is concerned about A J Labas’ outing because we won, but Labas’ lack of success is a much bigger deal than Hellmers or George.

Now I’m not saying Labas won’t bounce back or that he can’t cut it, but it’s obvious that some here miss the big picture. We need Labas.

He had a ton of Ks which is new for him. That was positive to see the swing and misses. He left the change up too much. It’s a great pitch for him but he has to keep it down. It’s not that big of a concern first week out.

meh, I trust Big Ben. He wasnt too worried. Small mechanical adjustment is all he needs. Now can Alan Dunn make that happen is the question. At least he wasnt laboring, walking guys etc.

Pretty stout lineup he was facing too.

Not overlooking problems but not shiTTing my pants after just 3 games.

Truth be told, I don’t trust PM at all, but it’s 3 early season games that are basically meaningless in the grand scheme of things

If he’s bad, Coleman can replace him

I love winning, I fricking love winning! You know what I'm saying? It's, like, better than losing?

Oh I agree, but it’s a way way bigger concern than Hellmers or George, right?

Sure there are candidates that might replace him, but also weren’t there candidates who could replace Hellmers and George?

I didn't see the game but saw the boxscore that said he threw 66 pitches--49 strikes and 17 balls. Is it possible that he threw too many strikes?? Or maybe some of those change ups got too much of the zone and needed to be closer to the dirt?

Only in the sense that Hellmers and George won’t see any meaningful innings for a long time, sure. Labas is more important. But the Hellmers and George decisions reflect on the coach more than they reflect on them. That’s where the melt is coming from. Our coach is a big concern to a lot of people.

A third starter is more important than our back of the bullpen guy and backup 3rd basemen. Not really sure what you are getting at

He rarely walks anyone and keeps the ball around the plate. LaTech was aggressive and took advantage of that second time through the lineup. Yes, he should have wasted more pitches.

Yes, that’s a possibility. I even thought that perhaps Tech saw something and Labas was tipping his pitches. Stuff happens.

Grey is old and assumes everyone is being mean to his coach. Ignore him.
