Handing the ball off to each other at the top of the key is like watching the toss dive over and over again

As I’m typing this LSU goes on a run...so never mind i guess

It’s called the weave ball screen offense and it’s actually damn good when ran right. Forces the defense to be late going under the screens or forces switches for mismatches.

Just say GEAUX TIGERS and we'll forgive you. Go and sin no more.

Lsu is a top 40 offensive efficiency team in the country. There are 351 teams. You do the math

Key Words here are when ran right. Not gonna lie watching LSU offense so far this season has been frustrating. They have spurts where its brilliant, but they also have A LOT of standing around and not rotating correctly.

This has jammed them up on one side of the court and caused dumb lazy turnovers a bunch.

Wish Wade would get them to run it about half the amount of time they already do and mix in a motion offense with pass and cuts through the lane and off ball screens with slashers. This style came out in that run late in the first half against BAMA and we ended up making 3 threes and a wide open lay up for Days off of a cut to the rim.

The weave ball screen up top just slows things down too much and clogs too many people around the ball right now. Maybe its the freshman learning how to move in the SEC....I dunno.

However, if this team starts to play like they did at the end of the first half and beginning of the second its going to be a fun year to watch.

...and believe me, Will Wade's weave is way better than the Johnny Jones' weave.

88 points later. If you don't understand it don't comment on it.
