Maybe I’m being too critical and it doesn’t mean I hate our new coach, but I’m sorry. The SFA motion offense was light years ahead of ours. Everybody screened hard. Everybody moved. Every player could penetrate and finish for the most part. And it created open shots or advantage drives to the basket.

Why can’t we run something like they ran? We still have no plays to get someone open. There were no easy shots today off of passes from a motion offense. It also appeared the entire second half for us became a point guard dribble penetration fest with no movement other than an occasional high screen from Reath or Epps. There has to be something else we can run.

It was a very sloppy game mostly because of the on ball pressure and trapping by SFA. We didn’t take care of the ball. And we didn’t pressure them near enough. And why Mays couldn’t learn after his second charge is beyond me, regardless of whether the calls were iffy.

Now, saying that, perhaps the reason is because we have practically no inside game. Reath can only be effective against slow teams or a slow big center. He is killing us with his lack of athleticism both offensively and defensively. Epps and rachal and sims’ missed layups

I don’t even know where to start with the defense. But it starts with pick and roll. We can’t defend it...at all. And any zone we try is absolutely garbage because guys can’t seem to stay in the area they’re supposed to. We are also terrible at defending down low. We are so bad, guards have to cheat and the other team kicks the ball out for wide open 3’s.

I hate this loss. Seemed like we wouldn’t have gotten credit for beating a team that’s probably going to win their conference. But losing makes it a huge upset. And it was if you consider the fact their best player was out in the second half and we fouled out their 2 bigs. Just inexcusable. 1st SEC win ever for SFA at our expense. It was a win we needed and didn’t get. Hopefully wade gets them back emotionally. And hopefully sampson comes back soon.

You dont know what youre talking about.

We missed 9 layups today, thats why we lost. We are one of the best offensive teams in the country thanks to Wade's offense.

I’m not seeing it. It’s okay at times. But you had to have seen what I saw. Our offense was Mays or waters dribbling out front trying to beat someone off of dribble penetration.

If you want me to read your article. Have a title that doesn’t tip off everyone that you don’t know what you’re talking about. Not reading a word of this shite.

Missed layups and giving up points in the paint is why we lost. Move on, still a long season ahead

We missed a lot of layups but it didn’t come from an offensive set. Came from scramble plays or shot clock winding down, need to do something plays.

the idea that you think that our offense is the problem is pretty comical.

The expectations both with BB and the FB offense this year are silly. It takes more than a year to institute a new offense and get the guys from the previous regime to buy in. WW is making progress and will continue to throughout the season. If we still look this bad at the beginning of the coaches 3rd season then we have a problem. Until then have patience while WW wills his magic.

the fact that you think this offense is playground ball shows a considerable lack of basketball IQ.

This was a winnable game. Bad loss. Even knowing SFA is a good team and will probably win their conference and make the tourney. You can’t lose at home. You can’t lose when their best player is out the 2nd half. You can’t lose when you foul out two more starters. You can’t lose when the other team commits 23 fouls. You can’t lose when the other team starts the 2nd half 0-11. You can’t lose playing at home.

I didn’t like the offense in the second half. Sue me.

you don't like an offense that gets you nine layups to miss.

do you understand what you're saying? this team had 82 points. and missed 9 layups.

that means the offense if hitting the bunnies created the potential to score 100 points in a college game.

this doesn't include the at least four points taken away on questionable charging calls.

I didn't read that but I can clearly see and hear improvements in the play, what the coach says, and what the players say. The offense is making a name for itself and they are working on the defense. Stop being a typical LSU fan who thinks the Tigers have to dominate everyone or they suck.
