Like him a lot. Very professional. And, he seems to be hitting his stride. He just keeps getting better and better. Him and John Brady are awesome together for basketball.

Jim Hawthorne: 6-0 in the CWS Championship Game/Series

Chris Blair: 0-1 in the CWS Championship Game/Series

Hawthorne: Authentic, genuine pain in his voice when LSU loses and authentic, genuine joy when they win.

Chris Blair: Forced, try-hard pain in his voice when LSU loses and forced, try-hard joy when they win.

Do not like

Great voice. Otherwise, he's terrible. He barely describes the actual game play, and when he does, it's literally delayed by about 5-6 seconds, regardless of sport. Really bad hire that we're stuck with the next 30 years.

He's really good. Instead of pulling a Hawthorne and rushing to say the wrong shite 20 times a game just to correct himself, he is correct and well thought out.

Enjoyed him with Brady on the basketball game the other day. Much easier to follow than Hawthorn.

I wasn’t a Hawthorn hater like many, just like Les, I think his time was up. He will always be the voice of the tigers

I like him. Represents LSU well and I enjoy his play by play.

I'm honestly not a huge fan. I can't put my finger on it...he just sounds too "studio-ish". He was an ok hire, but not a homerun hire. I would have been fine if someone local had gotten the job.

I like him. The main complaint seems to be that he’s not a homer and is too professional.

The problem with Hawthorne is I don't think he enjoyed all the baseball games due to travel and cold weather at old box when it was outside and games lasted 5 hours with the old bats. Plus the accomodations at road SEC parks were not that good for his tenure.

Hawthorne should have done football and basketball only and he would have probably enjoyed it more towards the end.

Exactly.

We have incredibly stupid fans. I mean shite, there was a large contingent of our fan base that actually liked the Ed Orgeron hire because he's from Louisiana and sounds like he loves da Tiguhs!

I'd rather the local radio guy be a personable and complete homer. I get enough neutral boring professionalism from ESPN, Fox, etc... It's nice to watch a broadcast commentated by a guy I know bleeds purple and gold too.

Overall I like him. Enjoy his baseball broadcasts more though he really can do better with gameplay. I think he will continue to improve over time. Hawthorne I liked but there were times when he got on my nerves.

Don’t like him.

Not enough emotion or passion.
