The threads have come and gone about Cleo and Jeauxhoho...

Where are we headed with this “proverbial elephant in the LSU Athletic Dept”?

Steve Scalise could be the answer. UH HUH

She will be terminated next year, after March of 2019. LSU will have to pay her little-to-nothing at that time.

All Jindal's people on the BOS care about are two things: Is the AD making enough $$$ to give some back to the university? and Are our sports in trouble with the NCAA? Alleva and FKA (specifically selected by Bobby Jindal himself) are safe as long as those two questions are properly answered.

You are correct. But Edwards gets to appoint a bunch of new people in June, 2018, which will give him a Majority on the BOS. I hope that new BOS will replace both FKA and Alleva, but ya never know...

her contract expires after next season, LSU doesn't owe her anything after.

Zero reason to keep her after next season

Before she came to LSU, Virginia made a run at her. I don't see Nikki jumping. She wants to milk every cent left on her nice contract. Probably a smart thing to do

I'm guessing that UVa has a vetting process, we all know about Jeauxhoho's vetting.....on this one ALONE he should be fired with no further ado

That is completely and totally false about Jindal selecting Alleva and FKA.

frick. Alexander was hired because they specifically wanted to avoid the appearance that the governor had too much control so the board hired a super liberal.

I wonder, why don't we just hire you to run LSU? Because you sure get on here and criticize every sport, every coach, and pretty much everything LSU does.

A great thought until you realize it's quite possible the BOS (especially once goober-eyed JBE adds his stooges and puppets) might make a worse hire than F-ucKing (would be hard to find someone worse, but I never underestimate the stupidity of the BOS). Alleva's replacement may also suck, but his replacement may be more a function of who the new president stooge is.

I had hope for the future of LSU football once we rid ourselves of the millstone that was Les Miles. But that was until we locked ourselves into Orgeron. So until further notice, I have no hope for LSU football being a relevant national factor any time soon.

It never had to be that way.

There is something to be said for leadership, method and direction.

LSU lacks all 3!

This situation will be solved, I firmly believe, in the next gubernatorial election.

LSU people have to get behind the right person. It's coming and WE AIN'T BACKING DOWN!

PS...Watch Derek Poontang come back with a cryptic comment

Jindal wanted to keep Miles which was the right choice over this hire.

Jindal has ZERO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS SHITSHOW.

All Jindal's people on the BOS

I'm so tired of the ignorance of this statement that seems to get made in a lot of places on this board.

Is it true that the majority of BOS positions are still held by Jindal appointees? Yes, that is true. Does that mean those people are still beholden to Jindal or his agenda? No.

Holdover appointments, whose terms do not expire till after a new Governor is in office, is commonplace. However (which I guess many do not realize), the new Governor has ways at his/her disposal of getting rid of any of these holdovers if they choose not to get on board with the new Governor's plans. Therefore, if anyone thinks that these LSU BOS members are acting of their own will, or still in line with Jindal philosophy, and not that of JBE's on major decisions, then you are sorely mistaken. Many of these appointees play both sides of the isle when it comes to political support in order to look out for their main interest - themselves.
