Watford is a total liability on defense.

For as good as he is on offense, he is completely lost on the defensive end. Whoever he’s responsible for is either wide open for 3 or rim running. He can’t even help on the weak side.

Mays is actually the bigger defensive liability. He simply cannot stop dribble penetration.

To be fair we literally have given up 80+ a game in the last 7 and we are 2 and 5. As bad as Watford is, this shite show is a team effort. Yes injuries, lack of a point guard, lack of a rim protector and lack of quality depth attribute but you gotta be better on defense period.
I think once Wade gets this upcoming recruiting class into the fold we will be much more competitive.

He's the main problem on defense.

Williams isn't any better either. Atleast Days works his arse off on the boards. All three of our bigs are awful on the defensive end though. Add to that Mays who can't keep a player in front of him, and Smart who constantly loses his man, gives up wide open threes and closes out like he doesn't give a shite. Combined it's the worst defensive basketball team I've ever seen.

Mays was bad tonight. It’s normal that he can’t keep anyone in front of him, but tonight he was out of place multiple times in the game. Overall our team defense was/is atrocious.
