I love the brand of basketball the Big Ten plays. It is by far the most enjoyable to watch.

But at the same time, the conference hasn't had a team win the natty since 2000. Before that, it was 1989.

They have had lots of teams make the Final Four, but they just can't get over the hump.

Basketball is HUGE in the Midwest. Not so much in the southeast. Heck I’d even take big12 quality basketball in the SEC.

Tennessee beat Kansas by like 25 and Auburn hung with Baylor until late in the game.

I watched the game as well and actually thought both teams LSU could easily beat. We have our problems as a basketball team(defense and motivation) but we are again one of the most talented in the country.

If you watched the Arky game last Saturday, they had a clinic with their offense. Their ball movement was a thing of beauty and I hate Arky
For those of you with good memory, Eric Musselman was the guy I wanted to replace Joneshoyang when he was at still at Nevada. Libby Woodward most likely would have made that hire instead of Gangsta Pear.......

It goes in cycles dude. Some years the sec is the better and sometimes not. The big ten is the best conference this season. It doesn't mean that they play a better brand of basketball all the time lol. Name the last time a team from the big ten won the national title...then look at the sec and how many we have won since then.

Can’t tell if OP is being sarcastic. They don’t call many fouls in the Little 10 and the freedom of movement suffers for it. The reason they don’t do well in the tournament is that when fouls actually start getting called and they have to match up athletically with other conferences, who tend to be more athletic, they struggle to keep up without fouling.

It’s not a good brand of basketball since the 1990s

You are right as the Big 10 and ACC is a more disciplined brand of basketball, as they are coached more technically and the way they run their offenses is sometimes a thing of beauty. However, it looks like we are playing street ball most of the time and we do not know how to run a proper inbounds play (well, they are trying a few things now, but still piss poor).

Whoever knocked your post, they just can't take it but they are right when super talent against that brand is a 50/50 when the game is played. One example of discipline along with talent beats talent/street ball is Michigan State over LSU a couple years ago in the big dance.

If LSU's current team could both run up and down the floor and Thomas draining 3's and run beautiful set offensive plays, picks, screens, backdoor cuts, overloads to get a one on one drive and take the shot clock down, they could be scary. But that aint happening

Anything can happen in one-off situations throughout a long season. That's not the point of my post - which was Kansas and Baylor played with more energy, intensity, and motion that I see from us. That doesn't mean they're necessarily better, just different.

And it's a more pleasing product to watch, I have to say.

Yeah and you could watch another game with all the teams involved that you mentioned and draw an entirely different conclusion.....that's my point.

While we're at it Florida beat West Virginia at West Virginia.
