Also easy to forget that we were down 10-0 in this game. I believe they were down 2 scores to Arkansas that year IIRC. This team made their collective arse quit that season.

Our ability to crush them with 0 passing game most likely sealed our fate on 1/9. That game will always be bitter sweet to me because of that

Yep, he was amazing. That game is why no adjustments were made in the championship game though. down 10 at the half but UGA’s defense got tired and their offense made mistakes. Neither happened with Bama.

I was at that game in the south end zone. Had a guy from Arkansas there who kept say "what's going on" when Arkie was doing well early on. Once the Tiger's roared back the whole section would shout "what's going on" toward the dude. He left early 4th quarter.
I think I knew the minute that the Honey Badger had that 92 yard punt return, the game was gonna go our way. Arkansas was ranked #3 when we played them. They were really good that year.

Yeah, offense was terrible and if we really looked at that game, the NC wouldn't have been much of a surprise.
Jefferson was 5-13 for 30 yards in the SEC championship. We won mainly because of our defense and special teams.

As good as that game was, WE were the one who quit in the next one. Once the O could not muster anything, the team must have lost some momentum, that game was the worst thing I ever watched.
