After weeks of waiting and several rumors coming and going, former Oklahoma State quarterback Spencer Sanders has announced that he will play for Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels in 2023.
ESPN senior writer Chris Low was the first to break the news on Twitter, and in doing so surprised many around the country. Auburn was the expected landing spot for several people familiar with the situation, but it appears that Lane Kiffin, the transfer portal king, has struck again.

He can not transfer without having to sit out. And, do you think Kiffin doesn't look for another experienced QB if Dart transfers? Need to have more than two capable QB's on the roster.

I guess Howard’s plan isn’t to start next season but to start after that.

Dart leaves and Walker gets his second team reps behind Sanders that Walker and Jamie are demanding as a redshirt freshman. Well known that Walker didn’t like the scout team and didn’t want to be QB3 in 2023 so they left to join a program where he has less competition for the backup QB spot.

If Howard doesn’t back out, he is the one who will find himself stuck when a new batch of transfers come in next year. It’s why he should have waited until he was ready to start to make a move (or win the LSU job).

This is a good point. Kiffin will do exactly what every other coach does and figure out if the Qb he knows is good enough or is there a new portal QB to bring in and win with in 2024. Walker may never start for ole miss

Dart is not stuck and after the spring if Sanders is the starter then Dart will exit stage left. He only needs a waiver to transfer again without sitting. Claim a hardship....not that difficult to just claim something and then transfer.
