How many years has it been since we returned all coaches? I can't recall. It's great to have some stability. I don't care if they're not perfect, having the same guys makes a difference.

Hopefully a new Special Teams coach named after the bowl game. They were the weak link

$100 says he's coaching special teams next season.

Yep, watch how great Polian becomes with the simple addition of Anderson.

If we want to keep Polian for recruiting, I'm fine with that, but full blown ST coordinator is too important to be in his hands another year. I can only buy the "lack of depth hurts special teams" excuse so many times. Lack of depth has nothing to do with not knowing the rules of a blocked FG. Move him to a position coach or something so he can still do recruiting visits and find someone better for the STC job.

Is Anderson going to kick the ball in bounds and cover PRs too?

And remind everyone that a blocked kick isn’t automatically a dead ball?
Too many screw ups in several areas of special teams. It’s coaching.

Do you realize that ST coach was not even a staff position until about 5 yrs ago when the NCAA granted a 10th coach…

This isn't happening. Not sure why it keeps getting brought up.

And regarding the OP, there is no way to know who returns until after the bowl game.

No coach is going to leave the staff early. I'm sure there will be some movement.

So which position coach do you fire or demote to make this work?

Not likely...there will be departures as more staffs are formed around the country and NFL coaches are fired and more positions become available there. Alot of action will pick up after the early signing day

The positive is they can’t be any worse next year.

Yes, we need a coach named “Cheez-It Citrus”

Tell me you only pay attention to football at LSU in the current season without telling me. The guy has been a special teams coach the vast majority of his career, and a pretty good one at that. If you don’t think the lack of depth and a viable returner are important, then you can tell me you don’t know special teams without telling me that as well.

Look, special teams weren’t very good this year. No one disputes that. But is it more likely that he had a bunch of guys playing them that otherwise wouldn’t or rarely have, or that he woke up in 2022 and is no longer a solid special teams coach?
