Wade was on Jon Rothstein's podcast, "College Hoops Today," yesterday (8/4). LINK to Podcast

At the 26 min. mark, Rothstein brought up Wade's suspension and the investigation and asked if LSU is expecting to receive a Notice of Allegations (NOA) soon from the NCAA. Wade responded by saying, "nothing in the near future." He went on to say that the rules prevent him from talking much about it, but that LSU is cooperating fully and that he doesn't expect anything imminent. He also states, "we feel comfortable with where everything stands."

It was a great interview (about 20 minutes) and they talked mostly about players coming back, talent of the roster, and expectations for this season, as well as expectations of some of the other top teams (impressive to hear Wade rattle off player names and even transfers and incoming players of other schools).

He also goes into some detail about defensive adjustments, which were a lot of the same things he has said recently regarding that subject.

I put this in another thread, but at the end of the podcast, Rothstein does his new Top 50 poll projection post NBA decisions and has LSU at #17 right behind TN (#15) and UK (#16).

But those of you interested may want to listen. I figured most would be interested in hearing about the NCAA stuff since we are all awaiting to see if Dick's "sources" and fortune telling is right.

ETA - wrote out what NOA stands for.

So he’s expecting a NOA, just not soon.

Never said he was expecting one.

I took it to mean that IF one ever comes it would be further in the future and not anytime soon.

Confirmation bias in practice means virtually any investigation that is opened will result in something.

Well yeah. LSU has never said they don't expect to receive one. No realistic fan on here, even the biggest of Wade supporters (which I fall into that camp), has ever said that LSU won't receive an NOA. Most everyone acknowledges that LSU will get something, in large part b/c the NCAA just about has to at this point.

The question has always been about when and how bad.

I mostly posted this b/c of Dickie V's rantings the past several months on the timeline and then adjustments of that timeline on when LSU would get them. His latest prediction according to his "source" was that LSU would have it by the end of July or early Aug. at the latest. Well, Wade is saying that they are still not expecting to receive anything soon.

As for how bad, that is still yet to be seen; but Dick keeps stating that there will be Major Level 1 violations (plural) leveled against the program. But Wade is saying that LSU is comfortable with where things are at, meaning that they don't expect it to be as bad as Dick (and some posters on here) is making it out to be.

Sorry about that. Just figured most following knew what it meant by now. I went back and edited the OP to add what it means.

He should've said Dickie V is a bitch and cost us a starter as a recruit.

Funny enough, he also spoke very highly of Calipari, who was another believed culprit at one time of putting Dick up to all this.

I think that Woodward and Wade have this locked down as indicated by Wade as they are very comfortable now.

And lets face it, the NCAA has more problems than they can deal with at the moment and they may become very irrelevant soon as a governing body.

NCAA might not matter at all in the not too distant future.

See my response to Pirate above.

But in short, while he didn't acknowledge that LSU would for sure get one at all, the common sense thought of most people has been all along that LSU would undoubtedly get an NOA. Question/debate has always been when and how severe.

Bopper, you could be right, but I think our ad needs to do something kind of like a "cherry on top" to make me feel even more comfortable about the situation. I don't know? Maybe somehow marry into the family of the head of the NCAA if possible?
