I know he saw some action last season in BYU and played a few games afterwards. Imo this game vs Miami he still seeme a bit antsy and didnt react quick enough. He's very fast and could kind of recover, but he doesnt seem ready just yet.

Also, Terrance Alexander seemed not too shabby. Did give up an easy (nice one handed catch) to Jeff Thomas early on, but I dont remember seeing him struggle.

Delpit played great as a blitzer and caused havoc in the backfield. Joseph got beat big for a TD, but was in GREAT position. Anyone watch the game more closely as I did or can remember how DBs played?

Almost like he needs more in-game experience, eh.

DBs played well. They gave up some plays but kept Rozier around 40% with as many touchdown passes to LSU players as his own.

It was funny reading Miami boards and seeing them crucify Richt and Rozier, as though being shut down by LSU's D is something to be ashamed of.

Kary seems to get beat a lot that slot receiver had a good game against him but I will always appreciate him because he was a great recruiter for LSU

That's why I said he's not ready just yet. Of course he needs more reps, gotta learn somehow. Have to get fundamentals down though. Great to see other DBs play well. Fulton got some action and has to shake off the rust/get more game reps too.

Huh? No they didnt

Huh? No they didnt. Rozier kept rozier under 40%

Our db's had several interference calls, dropped ints, got best deep ,etc

I grade them at a C-. INTs are good, but they weren't any special plays. Except for the pic 6, but that wasnt a db.

Om not saying we are bad in any way...my grade is in relation to their potential. It was just sloppy

2nd Drive, Alexander was horrible. Fulton was consistently worst dB in game. Vincent got lost on that one deep ball, but otherwise, did well. Fulton’s best play was when his coverage was solid and ball hit him in face. Alexander did improve some throughout game.

Fulton was in there a lot though. So that speaks volumes.

For a first game, I thought the secondary played okay. They will be ready for Auburn, Aranda won’t let this defense be the reason we lose any game this year

Yes, rozier was the reason for me betting a guy $20 we'd win by double digits. Miami is overrated and the media was kissing their arse like they have done with Michigan, USC and Notre Dame in the past.

The kid has some guts and kept his team in the game. Realistically, none of those deep balls should have been completed and we should have had 5 interceptions.

ACC looked bad. Miami is probably still an 8 or 9 win team.

They didn’t look worse than Auburn’s secondary
