The last 2 offseasons we were 15-1.

So even Vegas has lowered expectations

By having his team lined up with the same odds as a team that’s going to go 6-6 and coached by a defensive line coach, a bunch of geriatrics, and his fat incompetent felon shrimp boat captain buddy?

herman improved the longhorns record and won their bowl game. He also recruited a phenomenal class. he's doing work. Must be nice.

I thought his class lacked linemen?

they had six or seven lineman. Not a bad haul.

Yeah that was thenO pumper’s spin to it.

O RECRUITS THE LINES! Then Herman got 2 OTs better than anyone we got, a DT we and Bama offered and picked them over us. Etc...

It was alsomaround the time they were telling us Surtain would push us to the top 10.

30-1 is pretty generous given the question marks on the staff and qb situation.

since you do not know, every year is based on the other teams

year to year means nothing...
of course this does not fit the agenda of many.

Would like to see what the odds were going into 03'. I believe we were ranked 14th? I was sitting near and talking to Vince Wilfork's family and some others during the Miami vs La. Tech game at Independence stadium. I told them I'd see them again in New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl. The whole Hurricane contingent fell out laughing at me hysterically. While on the subject, I'd like to know which National Champions this century had the longest odds. That 2003 squad has got to be near the top of the list. I'll try to find it now.... ETA: can't find it.
