The players, the coaching staff, the atmosphere, the tailgate, Tiger Stadium, and the winning all make LSU games much more exciting than USC. The hype videos cannot do much without the contents. Just Keep Winning!

Happy for Will to complete his degree at USC film school.

Kind of like Austin Thomas
It’s all about the players

I have a feeling that most of their Hype Videos over there will be more about those cheerleaders in the USC Sweaters than the football team.

They are expendable. I work with a lot of the military and there's public affairs guys out there that pump out some awesome videos to pump up the troops.

Here's an example from a training exercise I was involved in. DOD video

I get what everyone is saying about the team performance enhancing the overall content, but this past season, when the stars aligned and the on field performance was magical, this video team hit it out of the park. There is a reason the video production team won awards themselves. So they have a track record of producing great results with great material. This is not guaranteed. I work in northern California and co-workers who are not the least bit football fans would rave about the videos at the end of the year, so don't underestimate the good they did for the LSU brand and the talent they brought to the table.
This is an incredible career opportunity for them for the networking alone, much less the film school education.
It is also another great recruiting tool for LSU the school, not just the football team.
Good luck fellows, you earned it. Now make the most of this next chapter.

So we take a top CB out of SoCal and have a commitment from a give star LB from the area. USC counters by taking a couple of social media/hype video guys.

I think we have a much better deal.

I don’t know that it is all that rare. Robert Munson gave a good interview on off the bench yesterday.

He basically said that being granted the access is really the biggest hurdle that schools have, and these guys being given the ability to have access to the content is what really drove these projects

Not that the kids weren’t talented. But plenty of kids are growing up learning to do this, and are really good at it.

That type of creativity mixed with video expertise doesn’t grow on trees.

The technical part of it I would bet that 85 percent of LSU’s campus can do it with the resources the video team was given. Newsflash 18-22 year olds are really really good with technology.

Now finding someone with the creative part might be a little tougher but it’s not that hard.

Highlights make the Video, Video don’t make the Highlights, can’t take his Highlight actors with him!
