Is that a misprint at Notre Dame? Wow.

The way Notre Dame keeps everything close to the vest I'm wondering if they have some private side business structure to pay Brian Kelly a salary close to the top. That salary just seems too low for a program like Notre Dame.

Not a flame, but I think this is a good spot for him. His teams perform poorly, he's not under a tremendous amount of pressure from a salary standpoint. His team does well, then he can argue a pay bump.

People forget that he was a d-line coach less than 5 years ago.

Aggie needs to go back to the Big 12. It's basically Oklahoma, then a step down to Texas. Then after them it's a bunch of cousins and strange uncles you only ever see at Christmas that you would never socialize with otherwise. Aggie fits in with that bunch.

re: USA Today Coaches Salaries
If LSU goes 15 - 0 this year and get Clemson and Oklahoma in the playoffs then Coach O would have beaten 7 out of the top 10 highest payed coaches list. That should at least move him up on that list for next year.

Was anyone surprised that Doc Holliday doesn’t look like Val Kilmer?

Also, Bronco Mendenhall - these names are funny.

Orgeron and Ryan Day look like the best values on the list.

Look at Coach O's potential bonuses--$1.9 million! Not too shabby.

It might be accurate, but why would a private school. be compelled to reveal accurate coaching compensation numbers?

I doubt it reflects their school's stated "mission."

Im sure they do. Kelly makes more than 2 million. Weiss was making 3.5 million a decade ago. Kelly supposedly is really around the 5 million mark

Is he?

He has won more games in 2 years than they did in the 3 years prior

He needs to ditch Todd Orlando. That dude is not a good DC.

re: USA Today Coaches Salaries
oregerons pay should stay the same, just hand out massive bonuses... remember, he isnt going anywhere, LSU really is his dream job and his success is predicated on his assistants... He has 3-5 of the best assistants in college football... Aranda/Brady/Raymond/Busch... you dont give a guy a huge money contract when his success is predicated on them.... He is great at recruiting but his assistants are also apart of that...their success is his success... he has done a great job of hiring great people and getting out of the way, he can make 4-5 million a year doing that... hes not worth 8 million a year because when his assistants leave you need money to attract new top ones, that offense goes to shite without Brady, Defense goes to shite without Aranda. Orgeron goes to shite without them... dont ever forget it...
