Once will wade was reinstated, there was no other option.

Smoke started rising once Will Wade agreed to meet with LSU. That happened because Alleva was pushed out of the meetings.

Alleva drew a line in the sand against will wade, and will wade won. You were never going to have both at LSU again.

Does this sort of power move happen in businesses all the time?

That press release was nauseating to read. Alleva sucks.

What an odd new job. I wonder if that position existed before. Donor relations in the current climate is a surprise.

Of course it didn't, Gris. If LSU (read: Alexander) is not willing to show Alleva the other side of River Road and are dead set on having him do something on campus until his contract's up, they (Alexander) had to make some shite up for him to do. I doubt any other office in the university wanted to touch Alleva's toxic and tainted arse, so the only friend he had left in the university (Alexander, maybe?) moved a couple of potted plants out of the corner and set up a card table where old Joey A can while out the rest of his days until his contract isn't renewed. I'd have picked another title if I were Alexander (oh, sorry, LSU), though, because Ole Joey isn't going to do well in that fundraising role. That albatross around Alexander's neck might finally let us be able to cut the head off the snake and show Alexander how to get off campus way more efficiently than Alleva's gameday traffic plans ever did.

Go away you boot licking fool. Even though every single one of your takes has blown up in your face you’re such an attention whore you can’t stop coming back.

Repeat after me Lester...

You know I was right about just about everything, right? In fact I was the first person to dig up Allevas contract and confirm that he would be in position to be let go,

In the meantime notice how no one is giving any reason for his demotion publicly. Because they know outside of LSU’s psycho fanbase and a few looney donors, that it would embarrass the university to put this on the Wade saga. As I’ve been saying all along. He might be a terrible AD but that was one thing he handled right

It is a disgrace that he is still affiliated with LSU. An abject disgrace. Shame on LSU.

This sends such a poor message. It needs to be a clean break. It's like removing only half the cancer.

“ shame on LSU”

As long as Joe no longer has any authority over LSU sports. I don’t give a damn how he finishes his time at LSU. LSU has to pay him into 2020 anyway.

Big picture is we got rid of a guy who had made some highly questionable decisions and, going by history, we just made a huge upgrade.

Personally, I am a much more confident LSU fan in our ability to be highly successful than I was a few days ago.
