uh, Fking ... Allevas gone because he was destroying DONOR RELATIONS. Yet again, another poor decision by Fking

Just confirms that Fking was forced to dump him, and hes just padding Allevas fall from grace, so that JA wont turn on him

This is such a great day for LSU. The house cleaning has begun and hopefully it's not over!

Joe alleva has always been "special assistant" to the president (F King) if u know what I mean. Shilling for King caused Alleva to take the fall and be let go.

Prior to joining LSU, Alleva served as director of athletics at Duke for 10 years from 1998-2008. During his 10-year stretch at Duke, he oversaw one of the most successful decades of Duke Athletics in school history, winning more ACC and NCAA titles than in any other decade in its history.

It feels like we're leaving something out...

They knew it would be a PR nightmare to fire him over the Wade stuff, or something that happened 2-3 years ago that people keep citing. Nothing more to it than that. Everyone was scared to put their name on it.

This might be the first thing Lester Earl has ever said that I agree with

He really got fired for the Will Wade thing but they’re trying to make it more pretty by letting him run out his contract as an assistant to F King and framing it like he chose to step down.

Whatever it takes. Now we just need the King to fall too and LSU can start competing at championship levels again

He's under contract, so they just gave him a BS title to let him play out his contract and be gone. He's basically already gone. I wouldn't read too much into this title.

If you're doing that because you contractually still have to pay the motherfricker, you walk his arse to LSU's property line, hand him his check, and push him across the line.

Seems like a perfect move if your goals are politics.

I don't know, I'm pretty sure the special assistant to the president for donor relations is the guy who stacks the chairs and sweeps up after the big soirees.

Once will wade was reinstated, there was no other option.

Smoke started rising once Will Wade agreed to meet with LSU. That happened because Alleva was pushed out of the meetings.

Alleva drew a line in the sand against will wade, and will wade won. You were never going to have both at LSU again.
