Lunardi's Current Bracketology

Current NET Rankings

Observations:

- We're currently not on the "Last 4 Byes" line, which is good.

- We're currently ranked 29th in the NET Rankings, which is surprisingly high, and that is why we're currently safely in the tournament.

- Take care of business tonight, and even if we fall at Mizzou on Saturday, we should be ok as long as we win 1 game in the SEC tournament.

- The "First Four Out" line is full of blue-bloods (Michigan St., Duke, Indiana). It's inevitable that the committee will let at least one of these teams in based on name alone, and screw over a more deserving team, so avoid the bubble at all costs.

I'd rather lose and get a 10 or 11. Screw that 8/9 game and #1 in the second round.

I just don’t see how that is possible.

Should be, but a loss at Mizzou and 0-1 in the SEC tourney puts us at risk of being in the play-in game which I'd like to avoid. And think about it, when the committee is looking at their final teams to let in the tourney, and they see LSU, Duke, Michigan St., and Indiana, my butthole would be puckering up.

Yea, no shite. This horrible place is the only place that thinks LSU isn’t in the tournament.

This, there's really no advantage to the 8/9 over a 10. I'd rather us ball out the next 2 weeks and become a 7 seed or win/lose just enough to be a 10 seed

So beat cvandy, lose to mizzou and first game in the sect, and maybe we can be on the 10 line where we want to be.
Or, lets beat vandy and mizzou, beat tenn or mizzou in sect, and lets get the 7

LSU needs to be careful with Vandy. They just beat Ole Miss and they played a close game with Bama until the end in which they led for a quite a while (they lost by 5 I believe). LSU better bring it or they can easily lose as Vandy is playing much better right now than earlier in the season.

We currently have a coach that knows how to build a non-conference schedule.

ACC has been way too garbage this year to consider Duke in most situations. BIG may have the best NET right now but with the SEC right behind them, it’d still be a much tougher decision than you’d think comparing the other 3 teams.

I still think this team can make a run. If Days, Smart and Thomas are all hitting shots at the same time, we can beat anyone. Also everyone could be off and we can lose to anyone also. Still, I don’t think with our offensive potential we are a team other teams are going to want to face in the post season.

I’m fine with whatever gets us away from teams like Michigan or Iowa with dominant big men. Dickinson or Luka Garza would score whenever they wanted to on us.

I see Lunardi has us matched up with Illinois. That’s not any better.

Where would we be if we win Vandy, @ Missouri, and win 1 in SEC Tournament?

That will get us a Semifinal exit in SEC Tourney with a double bye.
