We'd rather not live in last decade.

The les thread brought out the tards.

I honestly think the CWS was a surprise to the coaching staff. From the way practices are being run and the focus of them, it looks like CPM and co. realize what changes are necessary to win in TDA but still win in the SEC. I forget sometimes that that was the first time LSU set foot on that field for a meaningful game. It was a wakeup call.

i think this team will win MAYBE 45 games. too many losses at the plate, too much uncertainty with our staff.

who's the frontrunner for the closer spot?

Give me 45-11 right now and we don't even have to play the season. I'm sold.

Katz was the biggest loss. Rhymes wasn't as consistent as before. Ross and JaCoby were mediocre at the plate (hcb weeps). Hale brings some power, but the game isn't about that anymore. Speed and line drives.

Maybe the bullpen, but with Nola as an anchor, it's no different than other years. We have some really good young talent. Trust in Dunn, my friend.

We may not have one this year. :|

Everything ell said.

We have 2/3rds of the rotation back. A couple of veteran arms with plenty of SEC experience who can fill in nicely, not to mention several young arms.

We have our best bat back in Bregs. We lose 2 senior leaders, yes you don't just replace guys like that, but we have reloaded with other great talented prospects.

The biggest concern for me is the backstop.

PM said at last month's Coaches Committee that he realizes now he made an incorrect assumption at the CWS that our players would not have stars in their eyes being in Omaha because they play in front of big crowds all the time in the SEC at in Hoover.

He said when he and the coaches did a postmortum on the CWS they decided next time he will emphasize the importance of ignoring the bright lights, crowds and fan + media adulation in Omaha rather than down playing them to the players.

total bro. probably lose out in a the finals of someone's regional. glenn as our number 2? we will have to outscore opponents to win a lot of games this year with only one true stud on the staff, and i just dont see us doing that having to replace so much in our lineup.

Oddly though, our players spread out their hot streaks and droughts. When JaCoCo was whiffing, Katz was on fire. When Katz cooled off, Jacoby heated up.

Maybe the bullpen,

We will definitely miss the bullpen from the last two seasons. The last two years we were downright nasty in the 8th and 9th innings. Who knows what this year will bring.

i heard sewald would maybe get a look at closer but it looks like hes been struggling a bit so far (i know, still extremely early). you guys think moore will finally be a fixture in the lineup this year?
