What damages? He will probably only hurt his alleged "draft stock" by playing. Will just give the scouts more tape of his atrociously bad play. If anything not playing will help the kid.
You take a year of football away from him. You take him away from his teammates. I'm not even saying he should start out of this, but a year-long suspension is fricking retarded given the particulars of the case.

all this talk about kicking him out of school just makes people think there is an agenda here to keep jj from playing this year. lm won't kick him off team because that would piss off a lot of players and hurt recruiting. so lets just have another avenue handy in case the charges get dropped of reduced.
conspiracy theories abound in br. I too live outside of la. and people can't believe the attention the brpd gave this case. a bar fight.

Honestly, Doc...
I can tell you that the school wants to separate themselves as far from JJ right now

I don't care about positive/negative. The only real positive and negative are right and wrong. It is wrong to throw JJ under the bus for the sake of "the program."
He did this to himself! Stop acting like all the charges against him are totally baseless and the cops just randomly arrested him because hes black or a shitty qb.
They had grounds to arrested him, he put himself in this situation and now has to face the consequences.

yea...lets just ruin the kids life over a bar fight
When T-Bob was arrested, was there a call to have him kicked out of school?
I forget, but how many games did T-Bob miss?

Yeah because we as fans made him make the decisions he made
Get the frick out of here. That's illogical.
Nice to meet you, Mr. Perfect. I wish we were all capable of living entire lives without sin in the way that you have. I bow before you.

And if lee had done it, or any player, I'd say the same thing.

I get you're butthurt that you got a legal term wrong.
It's ok. I wouldn't worry too much though, you can claim to be whatever you want...I don't care, lawyer, fireman, teacher, whatever.

possibly...but if this gets dropped or if he pleas down to a misdemeanor i can almost guarantee he'll be reinstated. I don't think he'll ever start again though.

Apples and oranges
Tbob didn't allegedly kick someone in the head

Legarett Blount sat from the second game until mid November after punching the Boise St. player. If JJ is guilty, he deserves at least the that much of a suspension, and perhaps more.
If he's not guilty, then who does he have to blame for being in this situation? LSU? Les Miles?

I'd figure out "third-party" before calling anyone else full of shite.
Being that big lawyer, a former judge, etc...
What a clown.
It's okay for you to be wrong. Really, I can forgive you.
However, it's not okay for you to be repeatedly wrong particularly when I have repeatedly proven that I was right. It' also not okay to be wrong when you have no idea what the issues.
BTW - Tell me more about the University of LSU.

Actions have consequences.
Sorry you don't understand that.

People are acting like LSU pressed the charges against him, give me a break.
Posted on 8/30/11 at 9:38 am to RogerTheShrubber
He should be suspend now and kick off the team if found guilty.

It's not getting dropped
He has no intention of pleading down

then start by forgiving yourself.
it was only a definitional term....one you simply got wrong. No big deal.
I'll still believe you're really a lawyer if it'll make you buck up there champ!
