No love for Cole Tracy? We likely drop a couple more without him last year

We have Cade York now and we have him for four years instead of one year of Cole Tracey. He also has a stronger leg but Cole was a great tiger.

Tracy was great. But nowhere near as impactful as the Joes.

At a certain point it shifts from these certain players to O.

Cole Tracy was last year.

This year is burrow and Brady.

If there’s something that O does right next year it stops being “this guy saved O” to “O is a guy that knows what moves need to be made”.

Fantastic moves

O probably wouldn't be around much longer if he hadn't brought in Burrow/Brady and you have to give him all the credit for that

And that is what a HC is. Most people don't think of a HC as a manager, but that's exactly what they are. They are responsible for putting the right people in the right places, not coaching themselves. You get the right people in position and let them do the job. I believe O has a good grasp of what and who he needs in which places and roles, then he has the discipline to let go of the reins and let them do their job. And it was these qualities that ultimately doomed Miles.

No doubt he’s proven to be a great coach

Precisely - Needs to have recruiting skills/charisma - instill/enforce a culture that permeates the entire effort - trust the people you hire or get rid of them.

So, two straight years of making solid moves to improve the coaching staff and team aren't enough for you to give O credit for being a good decision maker?

What's so magical about making a good decision in year 3?

Hell, no! What if he loses to Auburn, Florida and Bama this year? It’s results on the field that matter. I don’t give a hoot about the optics; just win, baby!

We need to throw lots of money at Brady. He might be what we need as far as developing QBs we recruit.

he's actually done quite a bit although there's no argument that those are biggest.

He's altered the culture.
He has a more balanced approach to recruiting.
The addition of a small army of analysts
Busch as Safeties coach
Cole Tracy (he addressed a glaring weakness, which he seems to do as they become apparent)
