haven't watched him closely enough to predict how our tight corners will affect his game. does he often rely on receivers to go up to get balls, does he throw lots of perfect outside passes that no one can cover anyway, do his receivers burn corners on deep routes? I'm just hoping our secondary will be something totally new for him. do you think our secondary can throw him off?

He loves go routes and he is deadly accurate. He’s not affected by tight coverage. Hopefully our stadium can rattle him some.

Jerry Jeudy is their best wideout and he’s an absolute burner. Great route runner can absolutely fly. South Florida kid.

Devonta Smith is the kid from Amite, great hands and a crisp route runner. Speed but not on Ruggs or Jeudy level.

Ruggs is probably their fastest wideout. He’s a freak athlete and has great hands.

Jaylen Waddle is a freshman from Houston that guess what- he can fly.

Bama is going to run a shite load of go routes. The clear out the box and force safety’s to play deep and then they can pound you with Damien Harris, Josh Jacobs and Najee Harris.

This is the most dangerous offense that Alabama has had in my lifetime.

ETA: Let me say this though- Tua has never played in a hostile environment. The national title was incredible amount of pressure but thag crowd was 50-50.

I want to see how he does when 95 thousand are at the top of their lungs and he can’t hear himself think. It takes one small mistake and our DBs can make him pay. Maybe he’s unfazed or maybe he’s human after all and he struggles against the best secondary in the country and the most hostile environment in the country.

Most of the big gains I have seen were to receives who had 5-10 steps on the defender. He's very accurate, but he has played against trash secondaries.

In my opinion you send the mikes a shite load and get him out of the box. Corners are gonna have to press and mess up their timing and we cannot underestimate their speed when we take angles. Let me put it this way- they have 4 wideouts that are all faster than Derrick Dillon.

Our Dline is going to have to win their 1 on 1s and Mike Divinity has to have the game of his life.

Go watch his highlights. There’s serveral throws where the defender is on the receivers hip and Tua puts it in the perfect spot.

Make no mistake- he is the most accurate QB in the county and it’s not close.

thats what I'm hoping. first time all season bama's receivers have faced some adversity. our corners need to be in their f'ing grill the entire game. be as physical as possible off the line. I'm ok with a few pass interference calls if our secondary has to step it up.

Yeaaaa I don’t know what game you watched where Alabama’s wr’s faced “tight” coverage, because every secondary they’ve faced has been terrible! I’m not taking anything away from Tua and their wr’s but their success is largely due from the terrible secondary’s they’ve faced....

I'm sure there are some, but I have not seen them when just watching some of the games.

tua can throw some nice balls but his accuracy goes down when receivers are covered.

he's got fast receivers who will break free. what really makes him special imo is his downfield vision. he finds the open guy and delivers very quickly with accuracy. under pressure and good coverage he's as good as anybody else but nothing special or magical.

I just watched the Tennessee game and the DB is in great coverage and Tua puts a ball on the money 40 yards down the field.

I’m not saying our DBs can’t slow him down but underestimating his accuracy would be a mistake.

Agreed. The kid is a phenom. We're going to have to affect him somehow because if he just sits back there and has time he will pick us apart... even with good coverage.

I agree with you that a ton of his throws are to wide open guys but there are plenty that are in extremely tight windows.

The wideouts are special though, they’ve made a bunch of bad secondaries look very bad. I think our DBs will be a huge challenge for them but it’s a special group. I don’t agree with the other posters that they’re only good because they’ve played bad teams.

I think it’s an extremely dangerous group. I also think LSU has the best defensive backfield in the country.

My point is that most of Bama's huge gains have been deep passes to wide open receivers. That's how they have jumped out to huge leads against shitty defenses and demoralized them in the first quarter. If LSU limits those, we have a chance to win. Tua will complete passes, but I doubt he'll be nailing guys for 30+ bombs. Limit the big plays and win the field position game. That's the recipe for success.

I've also noticed Tua will have 10 seconds in the pocket because of their incredible offensive line.

It would be impossible for the best CBs in the NFL to stick on good receivers that long.

You HAVE to get pressure on Tua or we will lose by 20+.

To add to what Solo said, the LOVE to run 4 wide with 3 go route clears and a slant/deep slant to Juedy across the middle. They have burned everybody they have played this year with this.

our corners can keep pace with their go routes better than anyone so far this season. contain throws and runs over the middle in first half. white comes in in 3rd and locks down the middle of the field. Tracy is 10/10 FGs and we win 30 to 27.
