Trevor Lawrence "I don't know who would win a 40 yard dash between me and Joe"

Trevor Lawrence's media interview is certainly interesting. He was asked who would win the 40 yeard dash, him or Joe Burrow and he noted that he didn't see enough of Joe's running ability to know who was faster. He'll certainly get a birds-eye view Monday of Burrow's elusiveness.

Also, Lawrence noted which abilities of Joe Burrow that stand out on film, he pointed to Joe's ability to maneuver in and out the pocket and Joe's accuracy. Lawrence forgot to include Joe's 55 TD's against SEC defenses, which immediately get anyone's attention.

Lawrence explained that too many are making this title game about the two QB's playing, noting it will be the teams that decide this game. Tell that to Ohio St and Alabama, Joe and Lawrence are the main reason their teams are here. My money is on Joe Burrow winning it for LSU.

I watched the kid’s media day, he seemed pretty polite, honestly. He was just saying that it’s not “Joe vs Trevor”. It’s Joe vs Clemson’s D and Trevor vs LSU’s D. Too many are making it out to be QB vs QB when it’s not.

You’re acting like Lawrence was being disrespectful. Far from it. Lawrence is pretty obviously faster, straight-line than Burrow.

Trevor would win in a race.

They are two different runners. Trevor takes a while to get going but he is gliding at his top speed. When Joe sees the opening he hits it pretty hard and gets to top speed pretty quickly.

40 Yd dash? I'd go Joe. 100? I think it'd be close but Trevor might actually get him.

Seems like those are reasonable answers. Maybe he doesn’t know Joe’s 40 speed. Joe’s pocket presence and accuracy are as impressive as it gets. And he’s right, Burrow can’t win the game alone. If the D doesn’t show up, we lose. It is a team effort.

Really? Take these interviews with a grain of salt. He forgot Joe's 55TDs? Do you think he watched them all, remembered the all? I'd say he's probably more concerned with his own gameplan then Joe's. After all, he has to beat the LSU defense, not Joe.

Trevor 100% will run faster 40.

Joe has much better agility but Trevor is for sure straight line faster

What a weird take. First, 55 TDs don’t show up on film, they show up on a stat sheet. Second, Lawrence nailed two of Joe’s strongest points and gave a great complement there.

I will be borderline shocked if we look back in two years and Lawrence doesn’t shave a full tenth of a second or more off of Burrow’s time at the Combine.

Doesn’t change my opinion that Burrow has just put up the most impressive season for a QB in NCAA history.

Not implying he's being disrespectful, simply noting the fact that he's wrong. The plays by each QB is the main reason both teams are playing here and not Alabama and Ohio St.

For some reason people are desperately trying to find something which shows Clemson disrespecting LSU. Everything I’ve seen has been very cordial and complimentary.

In every Lawrence interview I have ever seen, he hasn't been anything but complimentary to opponents. I honestly don't know if the OP is trying to shite on him for being polite.

How will Lawrence have a birds eye view on Monday night from the field?

He's demurring.

Joe would likely have admitted TL is faster.
