He didn’t even make a mistake. He rounded about 1 step off the base and looked for the throw and the second baseman made a great play.

Not as bad as what I thought happened.

Damn good play by Arkansas. He threw it without seeing where the runner was. That throw is never made in that situation, which is why it caught him by surprise and tagged out.

It’s okay to admit that he screwed up. He was far enough away that he had to dive to get back.

The problem was, he wasn’t looking at the play. He was oblivious to what was happening on the field. That’s lazy playing. No excuse for that.

Which is why Van Horn is Coach of the Year and JJ isn’t.

Arkansas doesn’t have our talent, but is coached better. Sorry. Truth hurts.

It was a freak play that has nothing to do with coaching. You know we run ruled Arkansas twice. The Coach of the Year is just a yearly award. You think Bertman won it every year?
