Did they ever offer an explanation for this call?

It looked like a clear recovery for LSU.

It’s not the reason they lost and a game against Mizzou should never come down to it but if Mizzou isn’t giver the ball right there and gets the FG, LSU is potentially kicking a chip shot FG to win the game. At the time, still had plenty time to change the way the game played out.

Also, they gave us the first muffed punt. I’m positive Mizzou recovered.

this!
once Mizzou came out of pile with ball and refs gave to us.
once we came out of luke with ball and they gave it to them.

There is at least video
Of Skinner plausabily recovering the ball before the pile happened


There is no image at all showing Missouri recovering that fumble.

looked like 88 from mizzou recovered it and the LSU player ripped it out from within the pile.
