Again, then why were yall so quick to write off mubenga?
___________

Who is yall? Most every thread on the rant has several posters making conflicting opinions. I haven't written off Mubenga.

He made some good plays but I think Gilbert is more of a natural safety. Toviano seems to be more of an athlete playing safety than a safety.

Gilbert is a natural safety?

Zy Alexander IMO was an SEC caliber starting CB...not All SEC but adequate. Toviano hasn't played enough to judge him. The one who HAS to be replaced next season at starter is Stamps. Elvis Patterson is transferring his "toast" award because he gets burned the vast majority of the time, and the WR doesn't even have to make great moves on the route. Stamps is a not an SEC starting caliber CB...not even close.

What the frick does he have to do with anything? Mubenga was brought in as a project recruit and only played this season when Delly went down because Adams had just had surgery. He may be ready at some point in the future, but he’s adequately proven through multiple starts at the position he was brought here to play that he isn’t right now. The way things are with the portal, he likely won’t stay here long enough to be.

Toviano has played in one game at Safety after 15 practices. If he still can’t hang in Spring he’ll be on the bench, but for today, this is just a lazy comparison that makes no sense.

Safety play here has been atrocious the past 2 seasons

I genuinely can’t remember when it was good. 2019? Delpit?

Honestly, it was 2018 if we are talking full seasons. We were shitty at Safety for most of 2019, too. Delpit was playing hurt and didn’t get right until they finally sat him for a bit and let him heal up some. He played well when it mattered, though.

That’s because he said Toviano was a beast last week and that he had saw him play safety before

This was his post a few days ago

Guess what we will find out real quick if he can play safety in a few days. Bet you’re going to look like a retard as usual.

Go back and look at videos from fall camp, he might’ve missed 1 practice

And what position would those videos show Toviano practicing?

You’re getting ripped for this for some reason. No one is writing off Toviano. But let’s not act like it’s unreasonable to say he shouldn’t be our starting safety in 2025.

Dude he’s rotated between cb and safety since he’s been here let’s stop acting like he’s a wr converting to db

The dude is not good, plain and simple

Thats not a bad 1st start either vs a team that threw the ball 51x. He had not played more than 13 snaps in a game this year.
