Who would have been the best to see play a different sport at LSU?

Big Baby at offensive or defensive tackle?

E. Williams at def end?

Saban doing gymnastics?

Who else you got?

I would have loved to have seen Josh Booty come hear straight out of high school and play for Skip as well. Every time something like this comes up, it's the first thing I think of. A lot of people forget, or are just too young to remember, that he was the first player to be named national player of the year in football and baseball. Instead, he signed with the Marlins for the, at the time, all time record amount and the rest is history.

Of course, that very likely would have altered the history and coaching lineage somehow that probably interrupts the sequence of Curley, Dinardo, and most importantly Saban arriving in 2000. So it all played out favorably in the end. Thank God!

There is a podcast called From Phenom to The Farm and there is an episode with Josh Booty.

Really interesting stuff. I listened to it a couple of weeks ago so I don’t remember a lot of specifics but it seemed like he really regretted not going to LSU right out of highschool.

Brian West playing baseball. He was a 1st round pick out of West Monroe in 1999 but went pro...he had a 99 mph fastball. He came back and played football at LSU and was on the 2003 National Championship team.
