He had given up 5 hits in 3 innings and 4 very hard hit outs.

Second time thru wouldn't have been as pretty.

Easy to say that now. Hilliard was getting hit pretty hard.

He really wasn’t. But regardless, his performance is better than what we’re getting after the change.

So he gives up another run or two. Versus full fricking meltdown mode.
