Some of it is execution Memphis, but teams have learned how to take away what LSU wants to do. A&M gave up over 500 yards to La Tech. We threw for 90. Sure I'll give you Mett couldn't hit the broad side of a barn last week, but really pay attention to the routes LSU runs in the passing game they are easy to defend. Are La Techs that much better than LSUs. I have a hard time believing that I'm sorry. Watching them they look better coached offensively. That is my point good coaching and scheme, make for better execution IMO.

Is there any other explanation for that disparity? How does La. Tech roll up the Ag defense. For sure, the Ag was up for LSU much more than they were for La. Tech, but geez. Cannot the O produce something?

Do you suggest Les Miles call in to the SEC office & forfeit?

Come on, man. Believe in your team. Were you saying the same thing prior to our OL having to face Clowney & Co. two weeks ago?

Have faith.

AGREED White Tiger! If LSU will simply throw away whatever bull shite playbook they have been using and start all over for Ala. I will be content - win or lose.
The pathetic 1/9 performance does appear to be the norm and will work against inferior competition. Alabama is similar to LSU in defensive personnel so if they know what is coming they will stop it. Guaranteed!
I can only hope to see plays we have rarely seen before to confuse the Tide. We need to do this early and often if we expect to win this game.
Here's hoping for some new plays and a new playbook!

This is a matter of calculation which is the antithesis of faith, but I'll try.

If what one is doing repeatedly and abjectly fails, why not try something different? Everyone knows that they have tried to go down field on opposing defenses, just has not worked.

Faith is for the players, we has fans get to dissect and dwell on the last game and think we are smarter than who ever is calling the plays.

OK. Here's hoping that CLM puts together the game plan of a life time and LSU not only wins, but does so convincingly so those pundits at ESPN and F'bomb will have to eat a heaping helping of humble pie.

Well, we are much worse at the short side option. That is a minus.

On the plus side Mett has not tried shovel passes to receivers who are not looking.

I think this year our offense comes down to the fact that we have started 4 or 5 different line combinations. Hopefully, the off week allows them to cement the line and put in the protection scheme they need to deal with Saban. It is a much more difficult proposition than you think, especially for a first year QB, to deal with the uncertainty of a changing line.

Alabama has yet to play a real defense! Not saying LSU is going to blow them away but I like our chances for a win at home. Offense is still making mistakes but also realizing they have potential.

Is White Tiger really Paul Finebaum?

you realize on the other side of the ball bama will struggle mightily right? fluker and the guards CANNOT handle speed rushers or elite rusher of any talent. LSU has the best d line in the country and LSU always shuts down the run.. so LSU shuts down the run and pins their ears back and gets after a gimpy AJ who's line can't handle speed.

You can't be serious? Bama has the best oline we will face all year.

Yeah I hate when we are ranked in the top 10 and have one loss to a top 5 team on the road( by one score). Also we've lost 3 starting Olineman. Even Bama( to team you're touting) couldn't overcome losing 3 starting Olineman.
Our FANBASE is becoming exactly what we hated about gumps, ENTITLED.

Whats new? The sun rose this morning and White Tiger started another shitty negative thread about how the LSU program is in shambles.

I've never seen him make a positive thread. Not once.

Nice. Maybe the o-line will be a lot more effective against alabama than they have been against other teams....

Like I said earlier in this thread, I will say it again. That game was played on LSU terms; we are ok with an ugly, low-scoring game every day of the week. You really think that A&M wanted to get into a dog-fight with LSU? Of course they didn't. LATech played right into the hands of A&M, who would prefer to play a shootout because they live and die by their offense. Outside the first quarter, A&M fans should have nothing to be happy about.

I am not saying that we couldnt be more effecient on offense, because it is quite obvious that we can. I am trying to say that if you expect us to come out and have 300 yds passing on any given night, you will always be disappointed because that is not our style or gameplan. We are maybe the only team that likes to break things down and disrupt the flow of the game and see what happens. That is what happened last Saturday, and that is what will happen next weekend.

Nothing has changed offensively.

If Miles and Co. wouldn't hire an OC over the off-season or make significant improvement in the offensive play-calling what do you think he's gonna do over the course of 2 weeks? Exactly.
