I agree 100% with you on the loss of key players last year and the unwarranted negativity on this website. I too went to LSU in the early 90's and attempted to cheer on Curly Halman's disaster of a program. Most of the Negatigers on this site have been spoiled to many double digit seasons by the previous two coaches. I too want to see us go back to the 10 win standard but that is a rarity in college football. One can still support their school positively while being disappointed in the outcome. I would have loved to have had a season like last year while I was a student on campus. I am still scarred from the 2-9 1992 season...One does not know the football anal abyss until someone goes through something like that. My purple and gold glasses are still stained brown...

USC, Texas, Ohio State, Bama, Georgia, Florida State, Florida, possibly Miami, AND LSU should all be winning 10 games a year with the resources in state, funds, and passion of those respective fanbases as well as the atmosphere on campus.

I just miss the days when we were ranked in the top 10.
Top 10 4 year average recruiting class, top 10 in NFL talent, top 10 defense... all meaningless. The only thing that matters is being top 10 in the polls.

We don’t need to explain ourselves to these people who use terms like “negatigers” and don’t understand demanding better for LSU should be a common goal.
Accepting mediocrity is only holding the program back. Claiming they're positive, but holding no one accountable is supporting Alleva’s vision.

I think most people feel that way. I know I do. I certainly don't expect what's been going on with Saban, that's unprecedented. A division championship every few years with an SEC Championship on of those few to five years and the CFP in that year. As you say, consistently in the top 10 and in NY6 bowl should be the expectation.

It's no surprise the bar has been lowered with the hire of Ed O. He was a hometown long shot hire so people will automatically lower expectations in order to justify him being the HC.

Well said. And it is no coincidence that the standard of excellence we had with Saban was a direct result of competent leadership at the top breeding competency at the coaching level by making great hires and committing to winning and building a program.

10 wins is a minimum standard in the SEC West. This is a loser's mentality.

If this were 1969 that would be an accurate statement. However, in an era where 12 regular season games and a bowl game are played, ten wins can be accomplished without winning a championship or having the season be that particularly memorable.
