If it was a single incident then you can't blame him.

When there are multiple incidents with disciplinary problems in the program then you go to the top.

Miles may need to be a little tougher with discipline. Maybe he is starting with TM7 and making a statement to the rest of the team that he isn't tolerating BS anymore.

Exactly. It's not like he's ever even suspended any players before... or ever kicked players off the team before. He just lets players break rules after rules and never does a thing. And he never gets his players in position to graduate. His program is just full of disciplinary problems and he never does a thing about it.

What bull crap.

Why was the starting QB kicked off the team right before the season a few years ago? I think what you are seeing is a coach that desperately wants to help some of the kids that have had challenged child-hoods. He gives them every opportunity to change behavior... some are successful, some are not. That is life.

What would be worse is if he constantly covered up behavior like this like many other programs.

If new pre season rankings were to come out, would we still be voted #1? I think so, personally. But he was hyped up big enough to sway voters

He would only have to sit out If he went to another FBS school. If he goes to a lesser league he can play this year. Still a bad situation for the Tigers. Just an idiot!

Can't wait until all of the facts are available, if they ever are. I really pray that it's not opiates. That often ends in the worst way.

Tyrann Mathieu has been dismissed from the LSU football team for violation of team policy

Sad day for Tyrann and his family.

LSU football will move on and still be successful.

I hope the same can be said for TM.

LSU is and has always been more than one individual....

Props to Coach Miles for having the guts to do the right thing.

LSU will be fine.

Honestly, it's just sad. I feel for the guy because he obviously has a problem and just can't get his act together. I can promise you it wasn't just 2 failed drug tests. Probably 3 (which is usually when ur gone at LSU). What everyone needs to realize is that LSU ACTUALLY TESTS their players. I've heard of other programs "testing" but alerting the players before their "random" test so they can get clean. Miles did the right thing by giving the guy a chance and putting a program in place to try to rehabilitate him and make him a better man. Unfortunately, there are times when you have to separate people like this from the LSU name. I hope Tyrann can get it together and becomes the pro he dreamed of being. I enjoyed having him as a Tiger, but it's best for him and the program that he not be at LSU anymore. Tigers will still be great, let's hope Tyrann will be too.

You mean after he had no other choice?
You people that think Miles has any more integrity than any other high profile college football coach are hilarious.
