Thoughts on LSU getting hot and making a run and getting into a Regional?

I want to be optimistic and hold out hope that we will get something going soon. Do these guys have it in them?

I mean PM teams do this all the time, so it's possible.
But the 1-8 start really hurt them.

The sooner you accept that we’re falling off a cliff, the better.

He said making a regional, not hosting. That is falling off for us.

We could lose to McNeese tonight so you tell me

Agree, I think hosting is out of the question now. Backing into a Regional is the only chance I think we have.

Sure. And sweep Kentucky, Florida, Arkansas, and Ole Miss and you’re right back in tne hunt for the SEC Title. Make the SEC Championship game and probably locked in as a 2-3 National Seed.
Good times at the Box!

All after a win against Mcneese
I can see it now though... We go into may 6-15 but then we go on a 12 game win streak to end the season sweeping lowly Auburn Alabama and A&M including a win against ranked La Tech and end up ranked going to Hoover. Catch a few lucky breaks there and win a few games like we tend to do and we end up hosting a regional ala 2019 Ole Miss. Mainieri saves his job despite having a losing conference record over a 4 year span

Just pop a BC powder and wash it down with a Mountain Dew and those thoughts go away...

This is one of those hope for the best and prepare for the worst situations.

If there's ever a time for it to happen, it's got to start this weekend.
The situation isn't unlike 2011, when the Tigers started off 4-14 in SEC play, and were getting shredded each weekend. Then they swept Kentucky and improved a little each series, and finished the season 36-20 overall (13-17 SEC). That still wasn't good enough to make the conference tourney nor an NCAA regional.

I think a regional is realistic.
The challenge will be the selection not getting SEC-fatigue before us.
IOW. Vandy, UF, and USCe are in. Then Arky, OM, and State. That's 6. That means we're competing against the remaining 7 SEC teams for 2 or 3 spots.
