Following Burrow's meteoric rise from a somewhat obscure back-up to a bonafide star, NFL Execs are scrambling to find out more about Joe, his qualities & what makes him tick. Those of us who follow this team closely could probably give them every adjective needed to describe Joe: Leadership, Toughness, Work ethic, Intelligence (I think he will destroy the Wonderlic test), Likeability, Insane Competitiveness & just the "it factor" etc .
All that being said, I think "fit" is of huge importance here. If the Bengals, Dolphins, Chargers (or any team for that matter) draft Joe & put him in just any shitty offensive scheme, behind a terrible offensive line & think he will just "make it happen", they are mistaken. It's kinda why I was hoping that he doesnt go to a team like the Bengals. They need to improve thier O line first before throwing ANY quarterback out there to the wolves (much less a rookie). Naturally for Joe's sake I was hoping he would go to someone like the Saints or Pats or at the very least some up and coming team with a good offensive scheme. Thoughts ?

Two things:
1. High draft picks tend to go to shitty teams. It is what it is.
2. I think Burrow is better suited to handle that adversity than a lot of other QBs in recent memory who have gone to shitty teams.

Most high rated draft picks go to shitty teams.

True, of course, but Cincy is a shitty team that runs a Spread/RPO offense. (with their newly hired HC)

Things COULD start to get interesting with JB at QB, in Cincy.

We’ve seen at LSU that Joe is mentally tough enough that a bad year with little protecting and a bad offensive system isn’t going to v
Hurt him long term

Teams with shitty O lines need to fix their foundation first before wasting money on a rookie 1st round qb. If I have a hole in my roof, I'm gonna fix the hole before hanging and finishing the sheetrock.

It's also a question about the scheme. Does Joe thrive in just any old offensive scheme ?

When LSU’s receivers are asked to be interviewed by media, they say let me check with Joe (our QB) first. Joe’s everything you want.

He goes high he makes more money.

First picks are always bad teams unless someone gives up 2 or 3 drafts to trade up

That is how it works.

The Bengals aren't as bad of a team as you might think. They have a good RB in Joe Mixon and good WRs. There is a very good chance they keep AJ Green if they draft the QB that he wants. They also have an up-and-coming defense. Their coaching staff I think will turn out to be a solid one. Zac Taylor has a great history with QBs and is good offensive mind. Joe Burrow going to the Bengals would be much better than the Dolphins. Plus, Joe is from Ohio!

Only good thing about the Dolphins is they have several first round picks to build the team on

I'm dreading that he somehow falls enough for Atlanta or Tampa to take him.

Or they trade up (would be more likely)
