Thought it was a good, but not great game for the defense

Miami was able to push our D lineman back in the run game more than I thought they would be capable of, especially early.

There were a lot of open WRs that were missed bc the QB was under pressure. We should have tighter coverage.

We need to do a better job in situational football. If it is 3rd and 5, don’t give the WR an eight yard cushion and not break on the ball. If we are up by 20 points, our safeties cannot let a WR get behind them.

I agree 100% they were great at times but played really sloppy, over running lanes and dbs got burnt a few times and not playing the ball

I was impressed with Miami’s offensive line. That’s the one area they were able to match up.

Huh?

Miami had 83 yards rushing the entire fricking game.

Compare that to you Oline getting gashed and we had a 120+ yard rusher.

Front 7 played outstanding against the run. Did not give up any big runs that I recall. Gonna have to figure out how to get more pressure against the QB more effectively.

I was not very impressed with our secondary. We're so spoiled in that department. Not used to seeing corners having a step on them.

Miami has outstanding WR. Likely the best we will see until Bama.

Too many open shots at the QB that were missed.

It reminded me of 2007 when LSU opened the season by beating Mississippi State 45-0 and most fans (myself included) thought LSU looked sloppy as shite.
