So the offense can stop the clock anytime it substitutes? No thanks.

Just don't make offensive subs late in the game clock/playclock of you don't want it to happen.

..that may be one of the worst examples of "under 4 minute" coaching last night I have seen in years. On both sides.

Bama's stuff has been debated. Meyer going with the long pass was unreal. That one play gave Bama another 40 seconds by itself.

Oh - and WHAT THE HELL is up with the REFS standing over the ball with a ticking clock (both game clock AND play clock) in the waning moments of a game.

Coaches need to start teaching centers to shove the ref out of the way and snap the ball.

Excellent post. We got beat by an unranked Notre Dame team giving us our 5th losss of the season, but because Bama got outcoached and outplayed by the 4th ranked team in the country in the PLAYOFFS it's comparable and the LSU fans are over reacting to the situation of our program? Got it..

Rp started games and took some snaps for the giants in games. I don't think he's cursed, we just need to recruit better. I think we got fricked with crowton when it came down to recruiting and krag tried but that was just unforseen circumstances. Cam's qb is Harris so I guess we just don't know at this point.

In 2012 LSU passed the ball up and down the field against Bama, and then with 2 minutes left went ultra-conservative and didn't pick up the final first down. Bama marched down the field and won the game.

The 2014 Bama defense was awful against the deep ball. Ohio State, other than one run, had about 3 yards rushing on the previous 9 attempts. Urban was playing to win!

I don't get our fans. You guys bitch about our coaches losing in the title game, but give praise to other coaches for losing a play off game. It doesn't make sense.

It doesn't make since to a retarded person maybe. Les Miles quit that game. He didn't even try to win it.

Well ND should have beat FSU, LSU should have beat ND. We both got screwed with the refs taking points off the board.

Looks like bama tried to lose to me. They should have kept running the damn ball. I'm just pointing out good coaches make mistakes, saban has cost LSU and Bama national titles now. But hey Miles is an idiot.

Yeah, Jimbo Fisher did a great job with the first two.

I agree we should've got those points but we still are wishing we would've gotten a correct call on a fake field goal with Kraigthorpe, a full time play caller running the ball, none of which instill a great deal of confidence in the program.

Weren't you the one to bring them up first? I was just pointing out that your assertion that "Bama's stuff has been debated" is incorrect. They are the best program top to bottom of the past decade. There is nothing wrong with acknowledging that.

While they had some coaching issues last night...they were still in the Playoffs. We went 8-5 and lost to a struggling Notre Dame team in the Music City bowl. The only thing we solidified in the Music City bowl was that Les still cannot manage the clock, our QB play has not improved, and LF will carry our offense.

WTF does that matter, LSU is not 'cursed' at QB. We have had our fair share of good ones under Miles.

Uh the post was about last nights coaching decisions in a CFB playoff game. I couldn't help that Bama was one of the combatants.

Agree with most of your post but you have to realize that "costing" a school the national championship does mean that you had said school contending for a championship. Miles cost us the music city bowl, should we be happy because he didn't cost us a national championship?

LSU (and Les') only real weakness is the QB. Unfortunately that's a big weakness. I just wonder if he's cursed at this point.

It probably depends on where you are .As a rule, I curse him repeatedly on Saturdays wherever I am. Sometimes even into the next week.

This is about as stupid as it gets. Good coaches sometimes make mistakes. Great coaches sometimes make mistakes.

But only an idiot makes a decades worth of them.

So you would call Harris the starting QB for the 2014 LSU Tigers.

Why does everyone want him to play?
