This was a 2008 performance from this team today

Reminds me of that Sunday game at Kentucky in 2008 where LSU fell behind 8-3 and came back to win 9-8 on Matt Clark’s 2 out 2 run jack in the 9th to finish off the sweep.
That’s the game that made that team really believe in themselves. LSU is gonna be hot heading to Hoover.

1998 Cal St Fullerton winners bracket final.
Down 8-1 in the third inning, LSU brought out the rape bats and came back for the win.
“Bowe-led” them over.
There were so many incredible wins during that winning streak in 2008. You mentioned the Kentucky game. There was the game against South Carolina in the SEC tournament when we were down 4-0 in the bottom of the ninth and came back to win in extra innings. The two wins against Irvine in the super regional. The win against Rice in Omaha. That was a magical run.

This team doesn’t have the pitching to win a third of the 2008 teams streak

For me, Clark's HR was officially the day LSU Baseball recovered it's swagger from those two horrible years of '06 and '07.

2008 didn’t have any pitching. That team won by mashing the ball

I’d be shocked to see us take the field in anything else this year. I think Coach picked it by design to challenge the team and make them realize who the frick they are and play like it in every aspect. Tearing into NW State built some confidence. The gold is huge motivation. That’s Championship Gold you’re wearing, play like it.
Dammit I’m pumped for what we’re gonna see outta this team the rest of the way!!

Bradford was okay.
And Coleman came out of the wilderness to find his groove during that win streak.
