The country just remembers Jones' 2-16 SEC record and 89 points per game given up in conference last year. Now we have a coach who doesn't stare off into space.

Don't get your hopes sky high, and then when LSU loses a few games you start turning on the players and coaches.
No doubt, this team is 1,000 times better than last season. They will still lose some games though.

This. I implore fans to continue to temper expectations, I know it’s diffi given the early success but there’s A LOT of basketball to be played

I disagree, this team is gritty, and will only get better. They are going to surprise some teams.
No one is saying this is a final four team, but they sure won't finish in the SEC cellar with WW at the helm.

If they keep playing like they did last night, this team has a shot at going far in the NIT. That would give us a lot of momentum going into next season with the great class we have coming in.

Yep, no way this team finishes last in the SEC and the SEC is looking to be pretty decent this year.

I like this team alot. Maybe Simmons was not the poison. Looks to me it was CJJ and staff. this team is a complete 180*

I have no idea how this team will finish but I do know this. It’s a whole lot more fun to watch a team that plays with heart and intensity than the teams of the last several years that just stood around and watched opponents score.
They are well coached and that is something that was sorely lacking in recent years. It’s going to be a fun year and the Ws & Ls will be whatever they are.

After last nights game I honestly believe there an outside chance we could possibly be a bubble team towards the end of the year. This team is not finishing last.
