We need to make the tournament but if we’re healthy we have all the same potential we had before Pinsons injury.
I thought We would weather this injury better but it’s shown that we just don’t have 4 reliable guards and that Gaines is not ready to be the main man every night.

It's really the exact opposite.
Big wins, especially Away or Neutral and wins against Top 10 teams, are about the most important part of the tournament resume. It's why Lunardi -- along with almost every other bracket forecaster -- currently has Alabama as a 4 or 5 seed even at 14-8 with those two bad losses.
It sure means a lot more for LSU's resume that they beat Kentucky and Tennessee and lost to Arky and Ole Miss at home than vice versa.
However, the only way I would use "lock" for LSU at this point would be if you're talking about "if the field were picked today".
If they were to finish 20-11 and 8-10 in conference only adding wins over Vandy, South Carolina, Georgia and Missouri they'd be in some serious jeopardy.

What you just alleged is made up. If it wasn’t you could go find that post and repost it but that’s impossible because I never said it. If you make an allegation like that you’d better prove it. You also made up that you’ve been watching LSU basketball for 40 years when you had no clue when we made our final 4 appearances and no clue when Dale Brown was hired until you were corrected on this board. You just made up the .500 conference record standard, it doesn’t exist then you edited it just like you edited the argument that LSU couldn’t get in at 8-10 to 6-12. You’re a liar and a troll

Oh and btw “us kids” actually have been around for those eras and witnessed those eras but when that’s been noted or referenced you ignore it or lie about it because that’s what you do. One poster repeatedly told you he was 54 years old and you kept calling him “kid” because you’re full of shite.

When Dale took over, which was before my time...this program was bottom of barrel, and Dale was not even qualified. That sob worked his arse off, and with 5-6 years they entered the peak of LSU Men's basketball. As I said, if LSU goes 6-12 or even 7-11 in sec play, they aren't getting in without winning the SEC Trny....which I believe they have done once a long time ago. So prove it but you can’t prove something that doesn’t exist. And no that’s not what you said, you said if LSU finished 4-5 which would make them 8-10 for the season they’re not in only now you’re lying and changing that prediction because that’s what you do.

As said initially, I don't think they get in with a 4-5 finish, without winning a game or two in the SEC Trny. I firmly believe 8-10 and one and done and they are out. I do not believe they get in at all with 7-10 or lower without winning the SEC Trny.

Well it's all hypothetical at this point anyways, I don't care if you're right.
If they lose to UGA, Mizzou, UK, Bama, & Miss St - then they "might" not get in. That's the only situation I see where it's not a lock.
Now if they beat UGA, Mizzou, Miss St, & 1 of their 5 away games - they are a LOCK for the tourney. They could probably drop the game to MSU & win 2 away games & still be a LOCK at 20-11.

Except it wasn’t 5-6 years it was 8-9 if you mean the sweet 16 and 81 teams. And it wasn’t the peak it was followed by a 14-14 record and he didn’t get to 20 wins for another 5 years. Like I said you don’t know what you’re talking about and would know better if you’d actually witnessed it.
