Convince me I'm wrong. Yes curley was awful and dinardo was just as bad at the end, but lsu was not committed to paying big money to win back then. The best players from Louisiana also left back then at a much higher rate.

Ed has state of the art facilities, one of the highest staff and recruiting budgets in the nation, and locked down instate pipeline for the most part, and this is what he does. Lsu is paying Alabama prices to get Mississippi state results. Fire this mf

Not even close!

BTW, I agree with everything else you posted, but we have had some bad coaching before. How about Charlie Mac running a two QB system when he had Bert Jones? And it wasn't the same system. It was pro set and drop back passing with Jones, then option with Lyons.

Ed is a lot like Gerry. I have a feeling we got stuck with Daronte and Peetz because O did not want someone that could take over for him

Curley and DiNardo had to turn around the program.

Dumbass O inherited a winning program. Further, he lucked into 2019 and still could sustain.

When you adjust for what LSU has invested, what we’ve provided Ed, the talent level we have on roster, you’re right it’s not even close: this is the worst place LSU has been by a long shot.

Considering the talent level and resources available to Ed, it is easily the worst coaching season in school history.

The loser has so many ignominious accomplishments it’s almost impressive.

Considering this program is way ahead of what it was during the Archer, Hallman, and Dinardo days, this season is by far the worst coaching in LSU history.

Granted, it's not over yet, but at this point it doesn't look good at all.

I really cant understand how these OC/DC hires happen at a place like LSU. Its ridiculous man. You got a HC who doesn't know what he is doing....you can have your coordinators in the same boat and expect to win.

Worst job in LSU History, though?

The 1998 team started the season ranked #7 after finishing 8-3 the year before. The team returned several key players...including Herb Tyler at QB and Kevin Faulk at RB. They were the clear preseason favorites to win a weak SEC West.

The team finished 4-7 (2-6)

The current group was supposed to be much, much better than they appear to be now. But there were very few, if any, championship predictions. The 1998 team was supposed to be the crescendo of 3 years of rebuilding LSU. Instead one hire, Lou Tepper as DC, sent everything crashing down...eventually leading to Dinardo being fired a year later.

True

Curley ... had to turn around the program.

Eh, his tenure was more of a right the ship scenario, and the reason DiNardo had to "Bring the Magic Back"

He got them because the best available coordinators did not want to come to LSU because they believed Ed O was on the way out, same reason Dinardo lost good coaches and couldn’t replace them.
