this "O needs to go" talk is crazy.....

He is still in his honeymoon period for christ sakes. You can't talk about firing a coach 5(!) games into his tenure. That is the most ludicrous thing I've ever heard of. Any new coach hire is going to get likely 3 years at least. *maybe* 2 if they are a complete disaster(like 3-9 both years). Hell he was a complete disaster at Olemiss and they gave him 3.

But sheesh...the ink isn't even dry on the contract yet.

Am I pleased we got killed by msu and lost to troy? Hell no. But it doesn't mean after 5 games you talk about firing your *new* coaching hire.

Look at georgia last year. They had a 2 game stretch where they got killed by mississippi and then almost lost to an fcs school(nichols). Not a very different comparison to getting killed by msu and then losing to troy. Did they talk about firing kirby at the same point last year? Of course not. He was their *new* hire and they were in for awhile as a new hire.

You don't finance a new car and sell it after 3 months. And you don't purchase a brand new head coach and fire it after 5 games.

Let's learn to be patient. O might fail; he might not. But dammit, it's going to take a little time, at least a few seasons, to find out.
