Good post my man. Most tiger fans feel this way as well. I think anyone who watched the BYU game last year had to have been nervous about the season. Easy to defend even with great talent. I do like the direction we are headed. I just wish all fans would give this staff some credit for doing what they have been calling for, for years. Expand the offense while keeping the defense elite. The staff is doing that.

I completely agree with this. People are overvaluing Miami based on the way they dominated Notre Dame. People forget that they scored with 6 seconds left to beat Florida State, kicked a FG with 4 seconds left to beat Georgia Tech after a lucky tipped reception on 4th down and was just as unimpressive as we were in beating Syracuse at home. That was all before losing to Pitt in the final regular season game, getting skull drug by Clemson in the ACC championship game and having Wisconsin beat them in their own stadium in the Orange Bowl.
I think we roll Miami in Dallas.

He said the Miami we saw at the end of last year is a better picture of the team, not the team from the first ten weeks of the season.
He also said they he thinks our fans base is too tough on CEO. He said he met him at a coaches clinic and he thinks he's extremely intelligent. He said people like to down him for his years at Ole Miss but that was over a decade ago. He said CEO has waited his turn for another chance and thinks he can be just the opposite of CLM and put LSU back at the top of the SEC. He mentioned that plenty of Coaches have failed miserably in their first HC job and have gone on to adjust and have great careers. Its all about trusting your coaches and without trust on a staff you have nothing.
He also said he thinks the problem last year was not about CEO but rather about Canada. He said in no way shape or form would he have run that type of offense at LSU or at any other school in the SEC. It just would not have worked. he said LSU was and still is too physical for a finesse type of offense that Canada like to run.
He also said he like CSE offense and that we will excel with him calling the plays. He said 2016 showed CSE is more than capable of utilizing the amount of talent we have.
So the rest of the world that knows a thing or two about football is not laughing at us like we think. We are the only ones that are laughing at us. There are plenty of people out there that are still afraid of the LSU Tigers.

One high school coach, of such and such high school, is not an entire “fan base”.

With all due respect, you talked to a HS coach not the "rest of the world that knows a thing or two about football".
I talked to about 20 HS coaches from Tennessee, they know a thing or two about football. They all were shocked at the O hire. They laughed and shook their heads at it. soooooooo, are they wrong?

Just bc you are having a nice convo doesn't mean the other party is right or being truthful. I've had plenty of conversations with OM, Ark, MSU, TEXAS, Kentucky fans over the years. I don't bash their team, I give respect but know there team is garbage and I'm laughing on the inside.
