The entire fall camp BK talked about how extremely close the competition was. So close that they could not make a decision until the final week. Well if it was THAT CLOSE and that position is underperforming, why not give the other guy a shot? Im not saying Nuss should be the starter but I thought for sure BK would at least given him some snaps to see what he could do.(2 qb system is not unheard of and hes done it before)

Im just going off what BK was telling everyone. I mean unless this is all on the WRS Oline and OC?

Feel like there is more to the story than meets the eye.

Nuss, I think, would be able to complete 10 yard passes, so…

Maybe it wasn’t that close but he wanted guys to keep competing until the end.

possibly but if you know the clear starter and your taken snaps away from him during fall camp to fake a close competition. The only think I can think of is that didnt want Nuss to transfer?

And Brennan was so far behind that he wasn't even getting the reps.

BK had to of promised Daniels he would start with our wr corp and put him in the NFL in one year.

It really is comical isn't it?

Just listen to what Daniels mom said though. It makes sense why no other QB got a real shot.

Bingo!

No way a QB with aspirations of playing in the NFL agrees to come here to "compete" for the starting job.

JD stated he came here to improve his draft stock. He wanted to "tap into untapped potential" and play on a "national stage". Does that sound like a guy who was transferring from a school where he was guaranteed the starting job to simply "compete" to start?

He even denied initial rumors of him entering the portal and said he was coming back. Herm Edwards laughed it off because he truly believed it was just a rumor and the kid was returning as a starter. Then Boom! He enters the portal and transfers to LSU. Just google articles on JD and read up on him. I'm not saying he's a bad person at all but I don't think that many people know anything at all about the kid.

Our fans keep saying how bad he is and is probably thinking he's just enjoying his college days. Man, this kid is trying to make it to the NFL and sees his time here as improving his draft stock. Think about this, if that's the case, more than likely he'll return next year and will likely be our starter.

Daniels hasn’t displayed one attribute that the NFL would be interested in. He has no chance and it sucks that our coach is too stubborn to change.

If the QB competition was really that close, then Nuss is a lot worse than I thought. I knew he was a gunslinger type who would throw picks but I figured he would right that ship with enough reps. Watching him this year it would require A LOT of reps to get straight.

If you're talking about the Southern game, you should just take that film and throw it in the trash. Dude was pressing like crazy because he figured he had to "Wow the coach" IMO.

Off what film? Southern? Come on man. The kid was told two days before the Florida St game that Daniels would be starting. So when he got his shot, he pressed. Made some mistakes because he was trying too hard. Then comes in against Auburn and has 4 dropped passes that hit guys in the hands, 3 of the 4 drops would have been first downs. You can’t judge him off the Southern game.

If this is really true, then BK is either a monumental liar or delusional.

More reps than Daniels has had in 3.5 seasons?

At this point it seems reasonable to see what Nuss could do. In spring he had a lively arm and he moves well enough. He deserves some at bats because either he or Howard will be counted on in seasons to come.
