That's the best way to describe this season.
The early big deficits and Jayden's fear of letting it rip are going to catch up to us.
4-1 with this roster is pretty impressive and I love our second half defensive adjustments, but our offense and special teams are severely flawed. I think CBK is doing the best he can, but I'm worried it's about to get even more frustrating to watch this offense.

This isn't new. Kelly said as much today. They're aware

Downvote for not knowing the teams record

Yep.
The couple of times they showed things from JD’s point of view it looks like teams are running mostly zone, which makes sense against a WR taking snaps.
The routes looked, again from a limited sample size, to be more suitable against man, and so everything looks muddy.
Couple that with an inconsistent OL, and the answer is short quick passes. Which we’ve actually executed at times and then inexplicably abandoned.
Finally, on these plays scrambling just can’t be an option. Literally “I’m the coach and I’m telling you to throw the ball”. It’s gotten that bad.

Not one person is saying it is. Not a single one.

It has been a rebuild since day one. Winning 6 or 7 would be good. Anything above that will be outstanding.

You know what’s more impressive?
4-1

They are Johnny Manzieling his arse like LSU did to Johnny. Hold him and make him beat you throwing. He also cannot for the love of God change a play or count the numbers in the box.

It’s not about the record, it’s about going back to 2009 and 2014 on offense.
Go 4 wide, timing routes, the ball comes out or we switch QBs.

Hey, whenever you get stuck in deficiency mindset about LSU football, have a look at Texas A&M football. You will feel oh so much better!
I cannot express clearly enough the football tingles I get when I think of A&M friends telling me how their deep pockets and NIL is going to take over the SEC and send LSU back into the 1990s. Sniffle, sniffle. Happy tingle tears.

And there is nothing that can be done about it. Howard isn’t ready and the other 2 QBs are average at best.

In 2019 we rarely went with 4 WR's. 3 wides a TE and CE was our most used formation. Those guys had no trouble finding openings in the D. We just need to play better.

Well we don’t have a Thad or even a Sullivan. If Kelly doesn’t want 4WR then call it 3WR a Bech and a back.

Taylor has been getting open...Daniel's has just been missing him. Better throws are needed.

Sad, but 100% true.

Problem is he needs the throw between the 8 and the 6.
Bech has a much larger catch radius, and trust me because I focused on this in the two SEC games, Taylor isn’t a huge asset in the run game.

Do you remember what this program looked like 5-6 months ago?!
Posted on 10/3/22 at 8:15 pm to The Detroit Lions
If we were in year 3 and the offense still looked this way, I’m very concerned.
This season is more about laying the foundation and re establishing an actual program.
I have my doubts about denbrock but I’ll let it play out and see how things look without a roster duct taped together and we’re just trying to make due

Any rational Tiger fan (about as common as bigfoot, I know) realizes it's gonna take BK 2-3 years to return us to elite status. From what I've seen, he's maximizing what he has currently at LSU like good coaches always seem to do.
I still maintain we're undefeated if Verge didn't have his head up his arse and had insisted on a clause in the FSU contract that both teams must play their first game September 4th in NOLA.

Better record than we expected. Enjoy it and stop complaining.
