This guy thinks U should be helping line crews restore power instead of going to the game

Maybe If the 15-20,000 LSU fans that will be at the UCLA game today volunteered their time in NOLA to help people recover from IDA… power may come back on quicker and help recover all the abandoned animals find homes #justsayin #lordhearourprayer

Yeah since every citizen is licensed and trained to work on power lines. Good assumption

I suggest that if this guy cares so much, he should go pick up downed power lines instead of leaving it to the professionals.

The need to virtue signal outweighs common sense.

He's also in New Jersey so I doubt he understands a single thing about hurricane recovery

Sorry, Entergy taught me as a kid, “Don’t Monkey Around Powerlines”. LSU game it is.

Sounds like this guy has a bit of a death wish. People who don’t understand the power grid, or the dangers it presents, are the ones who bitch they haven’t been restored after a day or day when 90% of the grid in their area was destroyed.

Speaking of power lines and New Orleans. Since the power is out and I don’t have internet does anyone know if the local fox affiliate will air the LSU Game tonight? All they’ve had on since Sunday is IDA coverage

NOLA will have power way before the river parishes

This guy is an idiot. How many volunteer helpers would get electrocuted.

I’ll go to New Orleans to do line work as an untrained regular guy when he joins the Pineapple Express in Afghanistan and goes behind enemy lines with no money or comms equipment. Maybe we could recover the poor interpreters and American citizens more quickly if he would just help out #justsayin

If my arse tried to climb up on the powerline and help I'd end up dead on the side of the road from electrocution because I don't know the first thing about being a lineman #justsaying

What a minute, so without any experience working on power lines, then I should go cut the tree down just down the street that’s laying on power lines, climb up there and twist them together? I have a pair of wire cutters and some of those wire nuts that have been sitting around for so long. I can’t believe I’ve been without power for 6 days when I could have fixed this myself!

The best thing we can do is to get out of their way. Those people at the ballgame? Good for you! The fewer people here the easier it is for those helping with recovery. Geaux Tigers!
