Thank you all for the great advice. I am super excited for this game. As several of you suggested, I splurged for the lower bowl - North 242, row 17. I feel like I'm well prepared for the day thanks to you all.

I'm hoping I can find some of you who generously invited me to your tailgate. I'm not opposed to drinking your beer and eating your food. That's the only way I'll know if you do it better than we do in PA! I'll be proudly wearing my PSU jersey, so say Hi if you see me.

I'm really hoping to see Bama go down.

I was born and raised in PA into an LSU family. I promise you it's more than anything they do in State College. Enjoy

I won’t be able to attend but enjoy. It’s going to be a special night. You may even become a fan of the Tigers.

There is probably not a better game to go to in our lifetime in DV.

You picked a good one.

Eta-and yes, the atmosphere in the lowers is a different beast. Uppers are still great for seeing everything

I hope you have a great time and find an awesome tailgate. Several years ago I brought a good work friend who is from Baltimore. He played for a smaller college as an offensive lineman and he didn't quite expect what he was in for. He has been to some big Penn st games and several big NFL games.

We went to the 2010 Bama game. He still talks about the experience and basically said there is nothing better than Tiger Stadium. He said nothing compares, including big NFL games.

I think his favorite part was the passion, friendliness, food, drinks, and how constantly loud the stadium was. Actually his favorite part was the band playing neck. We had an amazing time, I really hope you find a good group or person to hang with and take it all in. Do the player walk down for sure. I don't remember if Mike made it in that game but either way it was great. It was also an amazing game in which the tigers came away victorious.

Just remember to take any ribbing in good stride. Oh and come back and do a write up explaining your weekend.

You are going to have a blast!

Why are you even here? Go worship your Saban statue or something.

Dave, a good golfing buddy of mine and his son are in BR for the game - he’s a PSU grad like you and has Tiger Stadium on his bucket list - I am meeting him in front of the Billy Cannon statue around 4pm on game day. You might come by and catch up with him - we will also have a tailgate tent on the southwest end of the stadium and he might be there as well. I will let him know you are on this board and perhaps you guys can connect. Have fun!
